Shandong province is located in North China which is one of the severe shortage of water resources places in the whole country.Aimed at the crisis of water shortage,the reformation of irrigation technology,the implement of water-saving measures,and the development of watersaving agriculture have been becoming a key issue of common concern to people.This experiment studied a new type of water-saving irrigation methods——the automatic rope-control pipe irrigation pattern used in canal irrigation district.The main research tested in MaZhuang experiment plots of Shandong Agricultural University in 2016,under three kinds of water irrigation treatments: traditional continuous irrigation(C),surge flow irrigation(S),and the automatic rope-control pipe irrigation(A).This experimental have studied the influence of conditions in terms of distribution of soil moisture and water use efficiency as well as the correlation between two of them.In this paper,we have discuss and analyze the summer maize growth,leaf area index,dry matter accumulation,farmland evapotranspiration capacity,yield output,etc,under the pattern of automatic rope-control pipe irrigation.The main results are as follows:The automatic rope-control pipe irrigation pattern has the best spatial distribution of soil moisture content and uniformity of irrigation water application.It saved 31.11% more water than compared with the traditional irrigation,and the water utilization effectively reached to 88.4%,increased by 32.55%.The automatic rope-control pipe irrigation can avoid the phenomenon of deep percolation at the first part of the strip because of too much water,and crop root water shortage at the tail part of the strip because of too little water,which are both caused by uneven water distribution of irrigation.It is in favour of maintain of irrigation water in soil,and meet the water demand of crop root.Compared with other two kinds of irrigation mode,traditional continuous irrigation and surge flow irrigation,the automatic rope-control pipe irrigation has increased the leaf area index by 8.96% and 5.19%,increased the dry matter accumulation by 4.44% and 4.07%,and the yield output by 11.7% and 5.5%.The automatic rope-control pipe irrigation can fully guarantee the water demand of summer maize and the smooth progress of photosynthesis,thus promoted the growth of summer maize.It is in favour of increasing of dry matter accumulation and yield output.Compared with other two kinds of irrigation mode,traditional continuous irrigation and surge flow irrigation,the automatic rope-control pipe irrigation has reduced the evapotranspiration of field during the whole summer maize growth period by 9.8% and 3.3%,and increased the water use efficiency in yield output level by 23.83% and 9.07%.The automatic rope-control pipe irrigation has less water consumption and less field evapotranspiration,thus it has higher water use efficiency.It is in favour of the save and efficient utilization of water.The comparative trial of automatic rope-control pipe irrigation and the other two kinds of irrigation shows that,the pattern of automatic rope-control pipe irrigation is capable to significantly improve the uniformity of space distribution of soil moisture content and water use efficiency,as well as bring about the water-saving and output-improving of summer maize in the meantime.It is a resultful water-saving irrigation technique,and has a certain value of promotion and application.
