The research was conducted in test base of Heilongjiang Jiusan Farm during the two years of 2015~2016,using local’s main maize varieties ‘Demeiya 1’ and ‘Demeiya 2’ as experimental materials.And we used two regulators,‘Kinetin(KT)’ and ‘Uniconazole(S3307)’in different stages(5,7 and 9 expansion leaf stage)by application on the leaves,studying the effect of plant growth regulators(PGRs)on the formation of maize grain,carbohydrates metabolism of ear and leaf in maize,revealing the mechanism of PGRs regulating maize ear and leaf development and formation of the production.It can provide academic theories of chemical control technology on popularization and application in maize production.The main results were:1.Effects of different KT and S3307 on the yield of two maize varieties were improved in different stages.However,effects of spraying different regulators on different varieties were different.From the period of spraying KT and S3307,KT and S3307 were the best in 7expansion leaf stage for yield.Treatment of KT at 5 leaf stage significantly increased the length of bald tip,at 7 leaf stage significantly increased ear wide and ear length.Treatment of S3307 at 5 and 7 leaf stage reduced bald tip,but in the varieties of inconsistent performance.2.Starch content and amylase activity in leaves treated with S3307 and KT were lower than control,sucrose content and soluble sugar content in leaves were higher than control,in most of the period after spraying KT and S3307 in different periods.In the early stage,KT could significantly increased invertase activity,while S3307 increased its activity in the later stage of growth.It can be seen that KT and S3307 could improve the carbohydrate content and key enzyme activity of the leaves and improved the supply capacity of the source,but effects of the two regulators was different.The regulation effect of KT was earlier than S3307.3.After spraying S3307 and KT in different periods,the dry weight and volume of two treatments were higher than those of the control.The spraying of KT at the stage of 7 leaf stage and 9 leaf stage could reduce the fresh weight of grains at the late growth stage and speed up the dehydration process of grain.The morphological changes of grain were the same as the early growth rate,the later stage was slower,and the different varieties showed the same trend.4.KT and S3307 significantly increased the content of soluble sugar and sucrose in the two cultivars,and increased the activity of invertase in the grain.S3307 could increase the starch content in the grain during the grain filling stage.KT and S3307 could increase the content of soluble sugar and sucrose in the two cultivars.KT was increased amylase activity in the late stage of grain filling.
