Water chestnut which is loved by people can be used as vegetables as fruit.Water chestnut which is a kind of easy to grow,high yield and difficult to harvest is agricultural product.The water chestnut is harvested by artificial mining now.But it is high breakage,much loses,high labor intensity,low efficiency by this kind of harvest way.There is little research on water chestnut harvest machinery at home and abroad and the corresponding harvest machinery is still blank.Therefore,to develop water chestnut harvest machine which is compact structure,reliable work,good effect,it will be vital significant to promote the comprehensive development and utilization of water chestnut resource.The main research contents in this paper are as follows:(1)Through the experiment study on physical and mechanical properties of water chestnut,it would obtain the force-displacement relationship curve about compression and shear.The experimental results showed that: The relationship of failure limit about water chestnut from big to small is Xiaogan water chestnut axial failure limit,Lujiang water chestnut axial failure limit,Xiaogan water chestnut radial failure limit,Lujiang water chestnut radial failure limit.The trend of failure energy is consistent with failure limit.he water chestnut varieties,the compression part and the interaction between the water chestnut varieties and the compression part had a very significant influence on failure limit,the compression rate affected failure limit significantly,but the interaction between the water chestnut varieties and the compression rate did not have a significant influence on failure limit.The relationship of shear strength about water chestnut from big to small is axial part,radial part,apart from the edge of 10 mm.(2)According to the characteristics of the water chestnut growth,two kinds of suitable harvesting machine structure were designed.On the basis of paddy field work status,the water chestnut harvesting machine which met the paddy field harvest way was designed.Using the related 3D software to complete whole structure model and interference checking between components.On the basis of dry field work status,the water chestnut harvesting machine which met the dry field harvest way was designed.Using the related 3D software to complete whole structure model and interference checking between components.Through on-the spot investigation of water chestnut planting regions to know about planting scale,soil condition,then the advantages and disadvantages of the two kinds of water chestnut harvesting machine were compared andthe demand effect was consulted from farmers.Finally the scheme of upland water chestnut harvesting machine was chosen in the issue.(3)The structure size of the machine,traction power and the related parameters of transmission system were determined about the upland water chestnut harvesting machine.Meanwhile the main components was selected and the related parameter was calculated.The angle of the first order surface is 150 and the angle of the second order surface is 250.The blade angle of the shovel is 140.The length of the shovel is 0.31 m.The width of the shovel is 0.7m.Those are the parameters of the combined T shovel.The speed of bar type elevator chain is 2.5m/s.The frequency of the three round head shaking is 11.769 Hz.The speed of the second stirring separation device is 7.41m/s(The speed of the first stirring is greater than the second stirring separation device).The route of the follower of the postposition cams shaking device is 0.02 m.The correspond suspension structure and deep limiter ware designed.(4)The water chestnut harvest machine was produced.Then the corresponding preliminary experiment was tested in the field.The reliability and stability of the prototype was tested and the existing problems of the prototype were discovered.The comprehensive experiments were tested to verify the operation performance of the harvest machine.The results showed that 540r/min of the tractor output shaft speed,slow band 3of the forward speed,10 cm of the digging depth were the best condition of harvesting.The loss rate was 5% and the injury fruit rate was 6%.It achieved the related technical specification.When the digging depth is 20 cm,the best condition of harvesting was540r/min of the tractor output shaft speed,slow band 2 of the forward speed.Meanwhile the loss rate was 6% and the injury fruit rate was 7%.It achieved the related technical specification too.
