Situation Analysis And Development Layout Of Forest Resources In Shaanxi Province

Forest is vital to human survival.With the development of economy,forest resources have been overused which lead to the loss of forest cover and the natural disasters that threatened human survival.So it is necessary to pay attention to the cultivation of forest resources.Situation of forest cultivation in Shaanxi Province showed that the quality of forest cultivation didn't meet the needs of economic development and improvement of ecological environment.In this paper,the situation and existing problems of forest cultivation in Shaanxi Province were analyzed from the aspects of afforestation and forest management by means of data collection,data analysis and field investigation.The development layout of forest cultivation in Shaanxi Province was proposed,which might be provide some reference.Results:1.Shaanxi is rich in forest resources.The area of forestland in Shaanxi Province reached to 12.368 million hectares.The area of forest is 8.868 million hectares.Forest reserves is 479 million cubic meters.The area of arbor forest is 7.071 million hectares,the area of special shrub forest is 1.775 million hectares,the area of bamboo forest is 22,000 hectares.2.The forest resources in Shaanxi Province are unevenly distributed.According to the survey,The total area of Qiaoshan forest,Huanglong forest,Guanshan forest,Qinling forest,Bashan forest accounting for 79% of the province's forest area.3.The forest quality of Shaanxi province is low.Firstly,the proportion of healthy forests is low.Secondly,stand shows poor quality.Thirdly,the stand structure is simple,there are too many over dense forests,over thin forests and over pure forests.4.Thoughts on the development layout of forest cultivation.The importance of afforestation in Shaanxi Province is construction of a new pattern of forestry ecology,including Guanzhong urban ecosphere,Huangqiao forest and Qinba forest ecological barrier,ecological restoration belt along the Great Wall,Loess Plateau and Han Danjiang,a number of green nodes on both sides of roads and rivers.Forest cultivation should consider site conditions,forest type and other factors.Stubble rejuvenation,thinning,planting,pruning,adjust tree species structure and other management measures should be used in different regions to improve stand quality.
