In order to explore the effect of the deep buried straw and plastic mulch on soil moisture and yield of corn in the northeast humid lands,meijin599 as the corn variety,Using a large ridge of double cultivation methods,comparison tests were conducted in Shenyang,the test period was 2 years.There were four treatments which were buried straw(S),buried straw and plastic mulch(S + M),plastic mulch(M)and no buried straw and plastic mulch(CK).The dynamic change of soil moisture and yield of corn were analyzed under different treatments.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Buried straw effectively increased the soil moisture in the layer 0 to 30cm,the first year of the test,and the soil moisture was 0.03 cm3 cm-3 higher than CK;the second year of the test,and the soil moisture was 0.04 cm3 cm-3 higher than CK.Rain resources in autumn and winter could be used significantly by deep buried straw,deep buried straw improved the storage capacity of soil around the straw in autumn and winter precipitation,improved the soil moisture during spring sowing and improved the emergence rate of maize.(2)Buried straw increased the rainwater storage capacity of soil.After raining,this effect was more obvious as time passing.the first year of the test,132 h after heavy rain,the soil moisture difference were not significant in each layer of S and S + M treatment.S treatment compared with M and CK,the average volume soil moisture in the soil layers of 0 to 30 cm,30 to 40 cm,and 40 to 60 cm increased 0.01 and 0.02 cm3·cm-3,0.03 and 0.05 cm3·cm-3,0.04 and 0.05 cm3·cm-3 respectively.the second year of the test,132 h after heavy rain,the soil moisture difference were not significant in each layer of S and S + M treatment.S treatment compared with M and CK,the average volume soil moisture in the soil layers of 0 to 30 cm,30 to 40 cm,and 40 to 60 cm increased 0.01 and 0.03 cm3 cm-3,0.04 and 0.06 cm3·cm-3,0.05 and 0.03 cm3 cm-3 respectively.(3)Under the long-term drought condition,buried straw was beneficial to soil moisture conservation.The first year of the test,Soil moisture difference of S and S + M treatment was not significant.S treatment compared with M and CK,the average volume soil moisture of the soil layers 0 to 30 cm,30 to 40 cm,and 40 to 60 cm increased 0.01 and 0.02 cm3 cm-3,0.02 and 0.05 cm3 cm-3,0.06 and 0.09 cm3 cm-3 respectively.The second year of the test,Soil moisture difference of S and S + M treatment was significant.S treatment compared with M and CK,the average volume soil moisture of the soil layers 0 to 30 cm,30 to 40 cm,and 40 to 60 cm increased O.Oand 0.03 cm3·cm-3,0.02,0.03 and 0.06 cm3 cm-3,0.02,0.07 and 0.09 cm3·cm-3respectively.(4)Two-year test results showed that the yield of corn in S and S + M treatment is higher than M and CK treatment,the first year of the test,S + M treatment was the highest,S+ M treatment compared with S,M and CK treatment,the yield increased 0.731%,5.85%and 10.75%respectively.the second year of the test,S treatment is the highest,S treatment compared with S+M,M and CK treatment,the yield increased 6.67%,16.95%and 21.53%respectively.The second year of the test had a larger increase.In the first year of test,the plant height and leaf area of corn of S + M treatment was the highest,and the plant height and leaf area of corn of S treatment was the highest in the second year.(5)Buried straw increased the soil moisture,to ensure the crops need the water of growth,buried straw played an important role of water storage,drought and soil moisture conservation.Comprehensive two-year test results,and considering reduces the cost of agricultural inputs,and reduces that the film injuries seedlings,and plastic film is not easy to recycle after using to result in the problem of environmental pollution,in the actual agricultural production of the Northeast Semi-humid Region,buried straw should be directly used in the way,instead of using straw mulching.
