Salsola collina Pall.belongs to general Salsola family of Chenopodiaceae,it’s a common wild herb in Henan Province.It contains rich selenium(Se),which can enhance human immunity,and has good clinical effect on antihypertension and lipid-lowering,and recently attracted more attention.The previous research mainly focus on its chemical constituents.In this paper,we aim to explore new botanical antifungal agent from Salsola collina Pall.F.graminearum,B.carbonum,F.oxysporum,C.lunata,A.alternata,E.turcicum,C.gloeosporioides,D.gregaria,G.loeosporium,C.cassiicola,A.alternata,C.graminicolum,C.cassiicola,A.brassicae,P.variicola,R.cereali,C.personata,A.solani,G.graminsis,C.ladosporium,A.pluriseptata,C.cassiicola,P.melongenae,P.lycopersici 25 pathogenic fungi were tested for the tracking of the antifungal activity to find the main antifungal substances in Salsola collina Pall.At last,we did the identification of extraction,isolation and purification.The specific contents are as follows:1.The methanol extracts of crude powders of Salsola collina were tested the inhibition effects on the 25 pathogenic fungi by determining the growth rate.As a result,the extracts showed good inhibition at the concentration of 50 mg·m L-1 against14 pathogenic fungi,such as F.graminearum,C.lunata,E.turcicum,C.gloeosporioides,C.arachidicola,A.brassicae,P.variicola,C.personata,C.ladosporium,A.pluriseptata,C.cassiicola with a inhibition rate of above 50%,and even higher inhibition rate of more than 90% against R.cereali and F.graminearum.2.The SC PE,SC EtOAc and SC W were obtained from the extractive by solvent partition(petroleum ether and then ethyl acetate)respectively.Then,the inhibition effects of the fractions on 14 pathogenic fungi are tested.The result showed that the antifungal activity of ethyl acetate extract was stronger than that of other extracts.3.The compounds were isolated by column chromatography,and their structures were identified by physical,chemical properties and spectral data.Compounds 1 to 3were obtained from SC PE fraction,and compound 4 to compound 8 were obtained from the SC Et OAc fraction.By NMR and MS spectrometer,seven compounds were identified and analyzed,while compound 1(triacontanol)and compound 8(allantoin)were isolated from this plant for the first time.4.SC Et OAc fraction were eluted on silica gel column with the gradient of the chloroform methanol at the ratio of 20:1,10:1,5:1,0:1 to Fr.1,Fr.2,Fr.3 and Fr.4.Fr.1showed good antifungal activity against C.graminicolum and C.Arachidicola.Further more,the microscopic observation showed that there were significant changes in the number and morphology of hyphae.It was speculated that the substance with the best antifungal activity in Salsola collina in our study may be concentrated in Fr.1.Generally,through the experiment of inhibiting activity against 25 plant pathogenic fungi,we provided a theoretical basis for further development of Salsola collina Pall to become a new source of botanical antifungal agent.
