Jiangxi Dongxiang wild rice was found the highest latitude Oryza rufipogon Griff.in the world as so far,which is with the cold tolerance gene,resistance to insect pest and disease gene,cytoplasmic male sterility genes(CMS)and other favorable genes.Yichun Agricultural Science Research Institute use of dongxiang wild rice sterility cytoplasm bred two kinds of CMS,one Sterile Line was with pollen and the other was without pollen.The restoring and maintaining relationship of sterile line with pollen was Similar to the wild abortion type male sterile line in rice.This type of CMS line has been realized three series matching and was widely used in production.The restoring and maintaining relationship of Sterile Line without pollen was abortion early and thorough.Research on application of the male sterile line,realize three series matching and cultivate a good combination of popularization and application prospect will be of theoretical and practical significance to enrich the cytoplasmic male sterile type.This paper was analyzed and researched the characteristics,male sterility,and male sterility genetic of no pollen sterile lines U69 A,and also studied the application of strong dominant restorer lines.The main results are as follows:(1)The sterile rate and sterile degree of U69 A were 100%,and the self setting rate was 0%.The anther is distorted,there is no pollen in the anther,pollen abortion is early,and abortion is complete.The plant height is 76.5cm,flag leaf length is 28.3 cm,flag leaf wide is 3.2cm.Within the plant type is compact,blade stand volume,and dark green plant leaf shape is better.the average effective spike is 8.7 spike,spike length is 22.3cm,and has128.6 grain per panicle;the grain weight is about 29.3 grams,slender grain,length-width ratio is 2.9,appearance quality is better.The heading days of the male sterile line is 5-6days,flowers early and concentrates,before afternoon the flowering rate was 81.0%,and the flowering rate was about 85.0% at 14:00,stigma exposure rate is 59.6%-80.9%,life force is strong,the angle of glumes opening is big and time is long,has Good flowering habits and good pay.The duration from seeding to heading of U69 A is 8-10 days longer than Jin23 A,and is equivalent with Tianfeng A,(2)The restoring and maintaining relationship of U69 A was different from wild abortive CMS Line and Honglian-type CMS Line.The restorer lines and maintainer lines of wild abortive and Honglian-type CMS Line were maintained with the U69 A.The fertility restorer of U69 A was controlled by a pair of dominant genes and cytoplasmic genes.(3)The restoration of the strong homogeneity Donghui 1 and Domnghui 2,which with potentially value were bred by using the homogenous restorer material U69A/V9418 which was from Dongxiang wild rice crossed and multiple backcrossed with Huazhan.Thehybrid rice combination U69A/Donghui 1 and U69A/Donghui 2 showed good early maturity and high yield,and had potential application prospects.
