In this research,a 4hm2 Pinus tabulaeformis and Quercus wutaishanica mixed forest plot is established in Lingkong Moutain national in 2011 according to the BCI(Barro Colorado Island)sample technical specifications.24 seed traps were set up by the long-term permanent monitoring plot between 2014.09 and 2015.12.The collected fruit and seed,as well as their related monitoring date are taken as research objects in the study. Moreover, statisticsing the composition and seasonal dynamics of seed rain, analyzing the relationship between seed rain and terrain factor and mother tree. The main results are as follows:(1)3972 seeds and fruits were collected, belonging to 5 families,5 genera and 6 species,Pinus tabuliformis,Quercus wutaishanica,Pyrusbe tulifolia,Pyrus xerophila,Lonicera japonica and Rhamnus chrysantha, respectively. The seed of Pinus tabuliformis and Quercus wutaishanica contributed about 99% of the seeds mass.1814 species of Pinus tabuliformis and 2145 species of Quercus wutaishanica were collected, accounting for 44.7% and 54.0% of the total species.(2)The total number of seed rain in the plot reached the first peak in late October 2014,because most of the seeds which collected in this perid were immature. The quantity and weight reached the peak in mid-September 2015 because most of mature seeds and fruits of Quercus wutaishanica were collected at this time. The quantity and weight of Pinus tabuliformis reached the peak in mid to late October. However, for the quantity and weight of Quercus wutaishanica, the peak appeared in late September and October, late September respectively.Overall, the seed rains of the two objects had significant seasonal dynamics and the peak was appeared in fall.(3)Testing the correlation between seed rain density and terrain factors such as slope type and slope used Kruskal-Wallis H,it was found that there was no significant correlation between seed rain density and habitat type, slope direction and slope at 0.05 significant level. But overall, the density of seeds rain on the sunny slope was greater than the shady slope, the order of seeds rain dens ity was : sunny s lope(330/m2)>the semi-sunny(220.8/m2)>shady slope(177.4/m2)>half shady slope(167.2/m2).The order of seeds rain density of different habitat types was: high elevation slope(222.8/m2)>the valley(220.5/m2)> the ridge(129.3/m2)> low elevation slope(94/m2).Moreover,with the gradient increased, the density of seeds rain will also increase.(4)The Jaccard similarity coefficient was used to analyze the s imilarity of the number of species between the collector and surrounding mother tree(the radius from collector to the selected mother tree is 1-10m).It was found that the Jaccard similarity coefficient increased at 1-6 m and then gradually decreased.(5)Analyzing the correlation between seeds rain density and the mother tree(0-5m and 5-10m)of Pinus tabuliformis and Quercus wutaishanica. It was found that for Pinus tabuliformis, there was a significant correlation between seeds rain density and the number of mother tree, the average DBH and the average height, the correlation coefficients were 0.006?0.006?0.009,0.000?0.042?0.018 respectively when the distance was 0-5m and 5-10 m.For Quercus wutaishanica, the seeds rain density was positively correlated with the number of mother tree, the coefficients were 0.000 and 0.008;there was no correlation between seeds rain dens ity and DBH.The correlation coefficients between seeds rain density and height was 0.014 at the distance 5-10 m.
