Soil erosion has become an important environment issue which caused general concern of all mankind.Gully erosion,as one of the most important components of soil erosion,causes considerable soil loss.Gully erosion has made large amount of sediments entering the river,which makes a serious security threat on the ecological environment and hydropower projects.Gully cross-sections(GCs)as a bridge between the past,present,and future gully erosion.It is important not only for recording the gully erosion under an comprehensive historical information,but also predicting the future development of gullies and erosion estimation of important parameters.Therefore,it is important to estimate the relationship between erosion volume and the morphological parameter.Gully morphology can reflect and describe the gully erosion process and characteristics,The study of the whole morphological features has an important effect on revealing the scale and development trend of the gullies,the results will contribute to the solution of gully erosion geomorphology,from a macro perspective of development and the management of soil erosion.In this paper,basing on the large amounts of data of the gully morphology parameters which obtains from measurement and investigation in the field of Yuanmou dry-hot valley.Then using statistical analysis,get the statistical characteristics of gully scale morphology analysis,using the power function fitting,calculating the erosion load of each gully,in order to explore the relationship between the impulse gully erosion amount and various scale form function,provide scientific basis for prevention and control of soil erosion and civil air defense The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Selecting 5 indexes which based on scale to describe the morphology characteristics of the gully profile in this paper,and interpreting the morphological meaning of this index.The size parameter are as follows: erosion volume(V),erosion area(S),the curve length of rill bottom(L1),the straight length of rill bottom(L2),average width(W).(2)Yuanmou dry hot valley gully erosion volume(V)in 144.41-38608.84m3,mainly in 216-1728m3,accounting for 41.96% of the total,the average value is 4718.012 m3,the median was 2099.387 m3,the kurtosis is 8.999,skewness is 2.779,show that the gully erosion volume distribution is right skewed peaks,namely more concentrated area in low.The ditch bottom line length(L1)is focused on 10.652-220.37 m,mainly in 30-60 m,accounting for 48.21% of the total,the average value of 62.992 m,median 54.90 m,kurtosis3.584,skewness 1.625,line length distribution is that the ditch spike right skewed,which is more concentrated in low value area.The ditch bottom curve length(L2)is focused on10.876-249.109 m,mainly in 30-60 m,accounting for 41.08% of the total,the average value of 68.312 m,median 57.39 m,kurtosis 4.05,skewness 1.677,gully length distribution curve showed that the spike is right skewed,the ditch bottom curve length more concentrated in low value area.Gully average width(W)is focused on 6.196-40.993 m,mainly distributed in the 0-10 m,accounting for 50.89% of the total,the average value of 18.692 m,median17.422 m,kurtosis skewness of 0.960,0.876,showed that the distribution of the average width of flat peak like quasi normal distribution,which is evenly distributed in the whole region.Erosion area(S)is focused on 157.68-6929.70m2,mainly distributed in 0-1400 m2,accounting for 66.07% of the total,the average value of 1459.488 m2,median 948.756 m2,kurtosis 4.67,skewness 2.06,erosion area showed that spike distribution is right skewed,which is more concentrated in low value area.(3)Y=aXb is the best fitting power function relationship between gully erosion volume and other red fourth parameters.The fitting fitting gully of the 112 groups by the power function and the different topography and soil conditions,the R2 values are greater than 0.7,described by the power function fitting effect is indeed very good.In the range of allowable error,the erosion volume(V)under different factors can be transformed into the characteristic quantities,such as the bottom line length(L1)and the bottom curve length(L2).(4)By studying the relationship between V and L1,L2,W,S,we can find a simple and easy to measure parameters to simulate the erosion volume,and finally get a feasible,convenient and cheap method.
