Study On Aesthetic Characteristics Of Individual Trees In Xuzhou City Based On The Public Cognition

Plants are the one of the most commonly used elements of landscape design.Having many functions,the aesthetic function plays a pivatol role.No matter how complex it is,plants landscape is composed of specific individual plant.Therefore,in order to create the beauty of landscape plant,it is the first step to select charming individual plants.Although many previous studies had been done on plant aesthetics,mostly the conclusions were draw from experience rather than quantitative researches based on public aesthetic object.In this study,21 trees were selected as the research objects,and 16 structural indexes of trees were quantified.experiment volunteers,who were divided into two groups: a public group and a student group,were selected to evaluate pictures of trees in four different seasons by SBE method.The study uses ‘one-way analysis' of variance to explain the differences and overall distribution of the two groups.Through the tool of linear regression,the study analyses the correlation of quatatitive aesthetic data between the four seasons and the standard variance of them with the structural index of the trees.The conclusions about the individual aesthetics and stability influence factors could provide a scientific advice for the selection and maintenance of individual trees to the city of Xuzhou.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)There is no significant difference in terms of the evaluation of beauty degree between the two groups,and the evaluation criteria are consistent.(2)The results of individual aesthetics of different seasons were different: the spring and autumn branches with higher density have higher aesthetic values.Trees with wide leaves in summer and trees with high crown in winter tend to have more aesthetic values.(3)Width of leaves and crown size affect the plant landscape stability across the four seasons.In the end,the paper puts forward some suggestions on the individual selection of urban greenbelt trees,which can be used to guide the landscape design practice.
