In order to explored the characteristics such as plantation growth, biomass structure, nutrient distribution, and nutrient cycling of Pinus elliottii plantation on a sandy coastal plain soil in southeastern Fujian Province,China.By the method of standard wood, litter collection, physical and chemical analysis were used to study. The application of IBM SPSS Statistics 19.0 and Microsoft office Excel 2007 to analyzed the data. The results were as follows:1.Through the determination and analysis of soil physical and chemical properties of Pinus elliottii plantation, the results showed that soil bulk density and the maximum water holding capacity, capillary water holding capacity was negatively correlated, the maximum water holding capacity and capillary moisture capacity, capillary porosity, total porosity was significantly correlated. The pH value of Pinus elliottii forest is low,the soil fertility is low,and the water storage capacity is insufficient, which is not conducive to the late growth and development of Pinus elliottii.2.Through the investigation of wetland forest vegetation analysis, the results show that the coastal sandy plantation of Pinus elliottii under sparse vegetation, only 4 families and 4 genera of 4 species of shrub, grass and shrub layer species diversity index(H ')is 1.054,evenness index(Jsw)was 0.760,the ecological dominance index(C)was 0.399.Alfa diversity index showed that there were few species of Undergrowth Vegetation in Pinus elliottii plantation, and the important value of plant in community was low.The total biomass of the shrub layer was 28.19 kg/hm2,and the density of C and N were only 11.46 kg/hm2 and 0.63 kg/hm2,respectively.3.By using plot method and standard trees, estimation of wetland pine forest biomass and nutrient distribution, the results show that the total wetland pine arbor layer biomass was 129.5 t/hm2,the biomass size followed by trunk>roots>bark>branches>Leaves;in all organs, elements from the to order of C>N>Ca>K>Mg>P;elements in different parts are different,as the Leaves>branches>trunk>roots>bark;element accumulation was 59.3 t/hm2,followed by the size of C>N>Ca>K>Mg>P,different organ elements accumulation order of stem trunk>bark>roots>branches>Leaves. The biomass of fine roots and needles only accounted for 0.26%and 6.69%of the total biomass, indicating that the Pinus elliottii plantations in coastal sandy land may be in the period of growth, maturity or decline.4.The nutrient contents in the litter of Pinus elliottii plantations are not decomposed leaves>branches>semi decomposed leaves, and the contents of nutrients in each component are C>N>Ca>K>Mg>P.The total biomass of the withered layer was 2.28 t/hm2,the total nutrient storage was 1.06 t/hm2,and the total nutrient storage in each component was semi decomposed leaves>branches>not decomposed leaves.5.Through regression analysis showed that the litter biomass of Pinus elliottii(y)with the average temperature(x)a S curve,a regression equation is:y=e(7.541-31.318/x),the equation of goodness of fit, significance test and regression equation coefficient test showed that the equation is feasible, the biomass is can be used to estimate the monthly average temperature of Slash Pine litter monthly.6.The utilization coefficient of 5 nutrient elements in Pinus elliottii plantation is between 0.086?0.117,the average is only 0.099,the cycle coefficient range is 0.518?0.645,the average is 0.578,and the turnaround period is between 13 a?22 a,with an average of 17 a.Among them, the utilization coefficient and cycle coefficient of K and Ca are higher, but the turnaround period is relatively short, the utilization coefficient and cycle coefficient of N and P are lower, while the turnaround period is long.
