Forest is the largest terrestrial ecosystem and forest fire is the primary damage of its resources as well as ecological values.Forest fires occur frequently,expand rapidly and therefore,often cause dramatic losses in a short period,casting great threat to human beings in forest environment.To avoid and reduce the loss caused by forest fires,the establishment of fire monitoring mechanism in a site-specific and cost-efficient manner becomes necessary.Risk assessment of forest fires in China is still in its early stage.Currently there is a lack of systematic platform for regional forest fire assessment.With the rapid development of computer technologies and progresses of internet and network environment,Web GIS(Geographic Information System)has gradually become the research hots pot is a wide range of applications.It has become a solid bridge linking the geographic information to decision making.In Comparison with traditional GIS technologies,Web GIS has great advantage in real-time interaction and rapid release of output spatial data.This research mainly explores the status and role of forest fire risk assessment.Primary findings are:1)Research on the basic principles of Web GIS development status at home and abroad,the establishment of the index system based on the principle of historical data and mathematical reference model,reference forest fire danger rating system for domestic and foreign research,forest fire-related impact factors into danger,vulnerability correlation factor between the fire emergency response capacity three level indicators,and meteorological factors,geographical environment is divided into 12 secondary indicators.2)Extended use of the index factor weighting algorithm model,re-calculation method by analyzing the common right,comparing their strengths and weaknesses,a comprehensive analysis of the forest fire event as a gray system for weight calculation using gray correlation degree analysis;3)Requirement analysis of Web GIS forest fire risk assessment system,design theoverall function,structure and business processes,the system provides users browsing information,editing,calculation of the weight and Custom Weight and sub-functions are designed and developed to meet the needs of different users of the forest fire-related information,to produce the final evaluation report,the results of this study can be used to provide support for forest fire prevention.The results of this study can be used to provide support for forest fire prevention.
