Leymus chinensis grassland is an important part of grassland in China, and it is also threatened by a series of environmental problems such as degradation, desertification and salinization. Therefore, this paper takes L.chinensis as the research object based on that it is rhizomatous clonal plant, and discusses the effects of clonal integration characteristics of L.chinensis on the this studied by different cutting intensity, mowing frequency and field width. And finally provide a theoretical reference for the production management of L.chinensis and its clonal integration. The results are as follows.(1)The plant height, biomass, root length, rhizome length, total nitrogen content, nitrogen isotope content and clonal characteristics of L.chinensis were studied by different cutting intensity. We find that the growth of the daughter ramet is faster than that of the parent ramet, and the faster growth rate with the cutting intensity is enhanced,It may indicate that the adjacent uncut plants can quickly provide the nutrients needed for cutting plant, but it has no significant effect on the final height. In addition to the mowing of the parent ramet, the mowing plants will promote the accumulation of aboveground and underground biomass, but the clonal integration of L.chinensis is not significant impact on biomass in homogeneous environmental conditions.(2)By comparing the different mowing times,it is found that the linked parent ramets can provide the nutrient for the growth of the daughter ramets, but they can not compensate for the effect of the frequently mowing. However, from the underground biomass,Multiple mowing will increase the underground biomass of the plant.(3)The test of different width not mowing shows that the mowing will decrease the density of L.chinensis, and the 1m width is the most significant, and the biomass of 1m width is more conducive to the accumulation of underground biomass. In conclusion, the response of clonal integration of L.chinensis in homogeneous environmental conditions is not obvious for the different cutting methods,However,it is not difficult to conclude that the supply to the daughter ramets is stronger than that of the parent plant, and the clonal integration between L.chinensis is more likely to occur in the underground part.Through a one-year experiment we find that the underground biomass of connected plants is significantly higher than that of single mowing plants, which indicated that the clonal integration of L.chinensis could be more beneficial to the resume growth and the growth of next year.
