In order to study the effect of losting claws on crayfish, the study carried out a preliminary research into four aspects:single breeding, group breeding, fighting behavior and movement capacity of the Procambarus clarkii on losting claws state.Experiment 1:Limb regeneration is a regrowth phenomenon, which is a self-protection mechanism formed during the long-term evolution process.Currently, crustaceans of arthropods and amphibians with tails were centralized studied. It is seldom research broken claws of sub-adult crayfish(Procambarus clarkii)in growth perspective. We studied the change of the food intaken, body weight, survial rate and feed conversion ratio of crayfish after they lost claws. The results showed that food ingestion and body weight-gaining rate of the amputated crayfish were significantly more than intact crayfish(two-tailed test P<0.01),the mortality rate of the amputated crayfish were significantly less than intact crayfish kept separately(two-tailed test P<0.01),food conversion efficiency of the female amputated crayfish significantly more than intact crayfish(two-tailed test P<0.05).In conclusion, crayfish can eat more food, become more weight and have higher survival rate after they losting claws. In addition, female amputated crayfish have higher feed conversion ratio. In this study,we analyzed the status of crayfish which were broken claws in Physiology and Behavioristics,in order to provide meaningful reference data for the basic theoretical research and production.Experiment 2:Effect of losting claws on the growth of Procambarus clarkii under group breeding. In order to study the effect of lost claws on the growth of crayfish reared in group environment,180 subadult crayfish were used as experimental materials to set up an experimental group and control group(half male and female).Group breeding have 20 group, each group repeated 5 same-sex crayfish to study the change of the food intaken, body weight, survial rate and feed conversion ratio of crayfish after they losting claws.Pair group have 20 group, each group repeated 2 same-sex crayfish to study the survial rate of crayfish after losting claws.Statistical analysis showed that food ingestion of the amputated crayfish were was significantly less than intact crayfish(two-tailed test P=0.02<0.05).The results showed that under social conditions inhibited the feeding ability of amputated crayfish, and reduced the feeding rate. There was no effect on the survival rate in the group breeding, but the death rate was significantly reduced in the pair group.Experiment 3:Losting claws on the fighting behavior of Procambarus clarkii. In order to explore the effect of lost claws on the fighting behavior of Procambarus clarkii, eighty subadult crayfish were used as experimental materials to set up an experimental group and control group. Each group was put in the same type of same-sex crayfish, and record the fifteen minute video. After the end of the video,we studied the fighting time, fight frequency and single fighting time per round. The statistical analysis showed that the fighting time, fight frequency and single fighting tim per round were significantly less than that of the intact crayfish(P<0.05).The experimental results show that the losting claws lead to a decrease in combat strength and reduce the fighting time and fighting frequency of crayfish.Losting claws inhibited the fighting behavior of crawfish.Experiment 4:Effect of losting claws on the movement ability of crayfish. In order to explore the effect of losting claws on the movement ability of crayfish in the unfamiliar environment,60 subadult crayfish were used as experimental materials to set up an experimental group and control group. Each test has a crayfish moving on the semi-circular runway with a length of 100 cm,a high of 5.5 cm,and a diameter of 11 cm.The camera record the movement of the crawfish in the runway for 15 minutes. After the test, the video statistics showed that the crawfish hesitation time, walking distance, walking time, walking speed, turnings and escapes number in the runway.Statistical analysis showed that the crawfish's walking distance, walking time, speed and escapes were significantly less than the intact crayfish. The experimental results showed that losting claws weak the movement ability of crayfish, but would not affect the ability to explore strange invironment.
