Land surface data such as soil temperature and moisture have great impact on agriculture and people's life.Shandong,as a major agricultural province in China,urgently requires high resolution data to monitor agriculture and nature.Since the continuity of metrological station observation is very poor and the remote sensing observations is easily affected by weather,vegetation and land surface roughness,land surface model is becoming an effective way to simulate the soil temperature and moisture and is advantageous because of its c ontinuity in time and space and vertical division.This study compiles and localizes the CLM3.5 land surface model,integrates HRCLDAS V1.0 developed by the National Meteorological Information Center into the localized CLM3.5 land surface model,modify the surface parameter module to replace the surface parameters,conduct CLM3.5 land surface simulation to obtain the spatial and temporal continuous soil temperature and humidity data of Shandong region,The main conclusions are:(1)Atmospheric Driven Data AssessmentCompare automatic station observation data with HRCLDAS V1.0 and GLDAS of Temperature and Humidity data,the results show that both data can reflect the spatial distribution characteristics of the observed data;the performance of HRCLDAS V1.0 data product is better than GLDAS data product.(2)Localization of CLM3.5 Land Surface ModelInstallation,compilation,modification of interfaces,and replacement of surface parameters for the CLM3.5 land model required to realize the localization of CLM3.5 on Unix systems,making the National Meteorological Information Center The China Meteorological Administration developed the high resolution land surface data assimilation(HRCLDAS V1.0)data access CLM3.5 land model to simulate soil temperature and humidity.(3)Model results analysisEvaluate the data simulated by CLM model by comparing quality controlled soil moisture and temperature data obtained from automatic station with GLDAS soil temperature and moisture product and CCI soil moisture product.The results show that the CLM model can well simulate the spatial distribution of soil moisture from 0 to 10 cm in Shandong Province.The simulated results are much than CCI and GLDAS soil moisture product.For evaluation between cities in Shandong Province,the correlation coefficient between simulated soil moisture and observed data is mainly over 0.7,which means the simulated data are strongly correlated with observed data.For soil temperature,in Spring and Autumn period,the correlation between soil temperature and soil temperature in GLDAS products and observation models are very strong.This indicates the two dataset has strong numerical similarity.In summer period,the simulated soil temperature data is better than GLDAS product.(4)Model result applicationCalculate the gridded field moisture capacity and soil bulk density with 1km*1km resolution using bilinear interpolation resampling method,and covert soil moisture into soil relative humidity by using simulated data to monitor agricultural drought in Shandon g.Good application results have been achieved.
