In-line Subsoiling that is an important conservation tillage method can effectively improve soil physical properties and promote crop growth. In order to solve the problem of influencing factors and unclear cultivation effects of in-line subsoiling, this study applied a combination of discrete elements and field experiments to determine the influence of different factors on the formation mechanism of soil structure.Focused on the analysis of subsoiler tine spacings' effect on soil physical properties, corn growth and yield, this provided a basis for decision-making on the selection of parameters related to subsoiling operations and crop planting patterns.(1)Formation mechanism of the soil furrow loose and ridge compaction structure.By analyzing the the process of interaction process between the subsoiler and the soil, the formation process of the soil actual structure was clarified.By establishing the interrelationships between the parameters of the soil furrow loose and ridge compaction structure, the main influencing factors in the formation of soil structure are determined.(2)Discrete element simulation and experimental study on influencing factors of soil furrow loose and ridge compaction structure. With the use of discrete element simulation software, the disturbance of different factors on the soil was clearly defined from the microscopic aspect.Discrete element software was used to clarify the influence of main factors on soil structure disturbance, and SPSS software was used to analyze the multi-factor variance of soil disturbance area, undisturbed area and the ratio of virtual to real under simulated conditions. The results show that the subsoiler tine spacing is a key factor influencing the formation of soil furrow loose and ridge compaction structure.(3)Study on the influence of subsoiler tine spacing on soil physical properties.Field experiments were used to explore the effect of subsoiler tine spacing on physical properties such as soil moisture content, bulk density,et al.The results show that: 1)Soil structure changes with the change of the tine spacing, which leads to the change of soil water content.During the whole growth period, the soil moisture content of the 300 mm tine spacing is the largest, and the average water content in the virtual and real area were increased by 1.4% and 0.6%,respectively.After the in-line subsoiling, they are conducive to water infiltration and accumulation.2)With the increase of the tine spacing, the interaction between the two shovels decreases, the soil crushing degree decreases, and the bulk density increases.Simultaneously, the change rate of soil compaction gradually decreases with the increase of the tine spacing. Therefore,in the whole growth period, the average change rate of the bulk density is the smallest when the subsoiler tine spacing is 300 mm,and the compactness curve of the soil is the most loose, and the compactness is the smallest, which is most conducive to the lower tie of the crop root.(4)Influence of subsoiler tine spacing on the growth and development of corn.Through corn planting experiment, the effect of spacing on the growth and yield of maize was explored. The results showed that: 1)Comparing with no-tillage,in-line subsoiling can effectively promote the growth and development of corn, and there are certain differences in growth indicators under different conditions.Among them, the emergence rate, plant height, plant stems and root length have obvious advantages in the all loose plough layer, with increments of 5.6%,9.2%,12.1%,and 40.3%,respectively;while the dry weight of the roots shows good growth in the up loose and down compaction plough layer, and the increments of dry root weight and aerial root weight are 18.2% and 11.7%.2)For the yield, compared with no-tillage,the maize yield under different spacing has increased significantly.Among them, the spacing 450 mm yield maximum increased by 7.8% in the up loose and down compaction plough layer, and all loose plough layer increased by 6.2%.Combining soil properties, corn planting patterns, and mechanical operation methods in Yangling District,Shaanxi Province,it is recommended that the range of tine spacing should be in 400 ? 500 mm for subsoiling operation, and the corresponding planting pattern be selected as the up loose and down compaction plough layer.
