Objective?The study aims to assess the clinical value of biliary tract drainage viathe duodenum endoscope in the treatment of extrahepatic biliary obstructive diseases.Methods?Statistical study is conducted in terms of the success rate of andcomplications after the treatments, the patency period of the stents as well aspreoperative and postoperative liver function indexes, which is based on aretrospective analysis of119inpatients via the duodenum endoscope for extrahepaticbiliary obstructive diseases in the Department of Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgeryfrom March2008to September2012.Results?Of the total119cases,115successfully underwent the interventionaltherapy, accounting for96.6%. In29cases, Calculi were completely removed,accounting for72.5%of the40cases in which received the combined treatment ofEndoscopic retrograde choalangiopancreatography (ERCP), Endoscopicsphincterotomy (EST), Endoscopic nasobilary drainage (ENBD)and calculusremoval. In16cases, there occurred hyperamylasemia.In7cases, there occurredsymptoms of acute cholangitis,in which1case, there occurred symptoms of acuteobstructive suppurative cholangitis. In2cases, ENBD dropped out automatically. In1case, there occurred gastric perforation but none of hemorrhage. Among the35ERBD-treated patients,13had biliary stent occlusion1-4months after surgery.Conclusion?Biliary tract drainage via the duodenum endoscope is an effective andsafe palliative treatment, which is a capable of effectively method relieving patients' symptoms, enhancing their liver function and improving their life.
