ObjectiveThis study aims at observation of Yangyin Qingyan Decoction effect on the patients of radiation-induced xerostomia, prov ide an objectiv e basis for traditional Chinese medic ine in the prevention an d treatment of radioactive xerostomia, and make further efforts on expansion of the connotation of Chinese traditional medicine for the treatment of chemotherapy toxicity.MethodsThis study Used the open randomized controlled trial me thod s,total of 59 qualified patients were randomly divided into two group,29 eases in which the observati ongroup, 31 pa tien ts in control group, considering the abscission factors.Thetr eatment group adopt Yangyin Qingyan decoc tion combined with radiotherapy in the treatment l;The control group only rece iv ed radiotherapy in the treatment. seri ous adve rse reaction during the trea tmen t of the two groups were taken the same symptomatic treatment. The two groups ware compared on Compared between the two group s of cases beforeand after the treatment of xerostomia the duration and cumu lati ve doses of radi atio n, the degree of dry mouth, salivary flow, qual ity of life, radi othe rapy comp letion rate, adverse reaction an d safe ty.Statistical analysis using SPSS 19 software.Result(1) This study included 59 patients, treatment for cases of loss factor in the process, the actual into the statistical analysis of the number of cases for 52 cases, treatm ent group 26 cases and control group 26 cases.Based on the statistical analysis of the composition of 52 cases nasopharyngealcarcin oma patients, we found that the basic conditions of the two groups on gender, cancer and pathological type, radiotherapy,KPS,age, ect, have no obvious difference(P>0.05).It means the two groups were comparable.(2) the reac tion time of dry and the dosag e of radiotherapy: the treatment group appear dry late r than that of the control group, two groups compa red with significant difference(P < 0.05); the dosage of radi otherapy in both groups compared with significant difference(P < 0.05).(3) Salivary flow: the two groups were significantly different(P<0.01), whic h showe d that the greater the radiation dose, the greater the saliv ary gland damage, the less saliva flow. There were significant diff eren ces in the degree of salivary flow in the two groups after radiotherapy(P<0.05).(4) the degre e of dry mouth:there is a significa nt differenvce(P< 0.05)lie s in the degree of dry mouy h by comparing the two group.(5) The quality of life: Comparison of the KPS score changes betw een two groups be fore and after treatment ha ve no significantdifference( P>0.05).ConclusionThe admove of Yangyin Qingyan Decoction to treat the radiation-induced xerostomia whic h can retard the react ion and mitigate the degree of xerostomia, can reduce the side effect of radiotherapy, improve clin ical symptoms and the quality of lifet, the clinical application is safe, which is worth popularizing...
