Objective:Our research was designed to detect the positive rate of helicobacter pylori antibody in serum. It through the method of enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)to detect the positive rate of anti helicobacter pylori antibody in serum of a group of patients with MS,NMO group, other neurological diseases group and normal control group, and anti helicobacter pylori antibody in serum between anti AQP4 antibody positive and anti AQP4 antibody negative in MS and NMO patients,to explore the infection of helicobacter pylori in the occurrence and progress of MS and NMO.Methods:1. Selection of 26 patients with multiple sclerosis and 7 cases of patients are suspected with multiple sclerosis,a total of 33 cases,7 patients with neuromyelitis optica,35 patients with other nervous system diseases,35 cases are healthy cases, all of them are extracted venous blood 3-4ml,without anti-coagulation,centrifugal separation of serum from blood,-80℃refrigerator spare.2. The positive rate of serum anti helicobacter pylori Ig-G antibody in all groups were detected using Indirect ELISA assay.3. To detect serum anti-AQP4 antibody in patients with demyelinating diseases like neuromyelitis optica, multiple sclerosis and patients with non-demyelinating diseases as control using cells based assay based on recombinant HEK293 cells stably express M23-AQP4(It has finished).Results:1、The positive rates of serum anti helicobacter pylori Ig-G antibody in multiple sclerosis group, neuromyelitis optica group, other nervous system diseases group and the normal control group were 69.70%、85.71%、40.00%、42.86%,the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05);In multiple sclerosis group and other nervous system diseases group, In multiple sclerosis group and normal control group of serum anti helicobacter pylori Ig-G antibody positive rate difference was statistically significant(p<0.05);In neuromyelitis optica group and other nervous system diseases group, In neuromyelitis optica group and normal control group of serum anti helicobacter pylori Ig-G antibody positive rate difference was statistically significant(p <0.05);But In multiple sclerosis group and neuromyelitis optica group,In other nervous system diseases group and normal control group of serum anti helicobacter pylori Ig-G antibody positive rate difference has no statistically significant(p>0.05);2、Among the 33 MS patients,5 of them serum anti-AQP4 antibody were positive, Among the 7 NMO patients,6 of them serum anti-AQP4 antibody were positive3、To AQP4 antibody positive and AQP4 antibody negative in MS and NMO patients, positive rate difference of anti helicobacter pylori Ig-G antibody has no statistically significant(p>0.05).Conclusions:Helicobacter pylori infection may be a risk factor for multiple sclerosis and neuromyelitis optica, and has no business with whether anti AQP4 antibody positive or negative in MS and NMO patients.
