Objective:Toobserve the safety and effectiveness of high viscosity bone cement in vertebroplastycombinedposition reduction in treatment of thoracolumbar osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures. Methods:This study retrospectively analyzed between 2015 March and July in the Spinal surgery of our hospital application Stryker company bone cement with high viscosity and vertebralplasty system treatment of 25 cases of thoracolumbar osteoporotic compression fracture. These cases have been injected with high viscosity bone cement by posterior unilateral pedicle puncture.Record the volume of bone cement injection, leakage of bone cement, operation time,Intra-and postoperative adverse events.Patients were treated with high viscosity bone cement vertebroplasty treatment, comparison of patients before surgery,1 days after operation of anterior vertebral body the height of vertebral body height, midline, vertebral height, kyphosis Cobb angle,VAS pain score,ODI score. Results: 1.The visual analog scale(VAS)The patients on the first day of the VAS score improved remarkably, before the operation VAS score was(8.44±1.16)points,after surgery was(2.88±0.83)points,the T value is 31.96,with significant difference(P < 0.01);Therefore,the results showed that the short-term after the operation can effectively reduce the pain of patients caused by fracture and long-term effect is better.2.Oswestry(functional disability index)The patients on the first day of the ODI improved significantly, before the surgery ODI score was(84.48±6.12)points,after the surgery was(58.68±3.94)points,the T value is 26.24,with significant difference(P < 0.01).The ODI score was(28.68±3.67)after six months. Therefore, the results showed it was helpful that the surgery for patients with dysfunction caused by fracture and the improvement of pain.3.Anterior vertebral height and central height The anterior vertebral height was(20.48±0.84)mm before surgery, after that was(22.71±0.83)mm and the T value is 6.66,with significant difference(P < 0.01).The central height was(21.27±0.82)mm before surgery, after that was(23.62±0.74)mm and the T value is7.49,with significant difference(P < 0.01).4.Back convex Cobb angle recovery The Back convex Cobb angle was(18.58±6.85)°before surgery, after that was(16.54±6.60)°and the T value is 7.66,with significant difference(P < 0.01).5.Bone cement leakage With a total of 25 patients(39 vertebraes),6 cases occured leakage, the occurrence rate was 15.4%.There are 3 cases of infiltration of adjacent intervertebral disc,2 cases of infiltration in front of the vertebral bodies,1 case of soft tissue infiltration of vertebral side,no obvious neurologic symptoms occurred, leakage rate was 15.4%,no cases of spinal canal leakage.6.Bone cement injection Bone cement injection of each vertebral body was 5 ~ 11 ml,an average of 8.7± 1.9 ml.7.The operation time was 16.9 ± 5.7 min. Conclusion:High viscosity bone cement in percutaneous vertebroplasty can remarkably relieve the patient's pain and improve their quality of life,so that the effective restoration of vertebral height, currently in the therapy of vertebral compression cataclasis have perfect prospects for clinical development, with security, high efficacy characteristics, but still need more long-term clinical observation of cases.
