The Curative Effect Of Two Kind Of Periodontal Splint On Anterior Teeth With Advanced Periodontitis

Objective: This study aimed to observe and evaluate the curative effects of Super-bond adhesive system as the periodontal splint on fixing loosen teeth of patients with advanced periodontal disease.Methods: Collecting all the patients from November 2014 to October 2015 with loosen teeth caused by advanced periodontitis were included into survey.Inclusion criteria:1.In labial teeth at least one tooth mobility degree is ?-?,which one influenced feeding and beauty;2.After periodontal disease initial therapy,the patients have good oral hygiene behavior and the compliance of the patients is high.Exclusion criteria: 1.Require treatment of loosen teeth with tooth loss or spacing is too large for more than 1 mm;2.Can not actively cooperate with the doctor and insist on regular treatment;3.except pregnancy and lactation women.All eligible patients a total of 30 patients(male 18,female 12,aged 35 to 70 years old,the average age of 51.2 years)were selected and randomly divided into two group: The experimental group(Super-bond adhesive periodontal splint)and the control group(wire-resin periodontal splint).1.Periodontal basic treatment: such as scaling and root planing,flushing,wash prescription,strict control of periodontal inflammation and prevent the progression of the disease and oral health education and guidance to the patients.2.The patients were re-examined after 1 months.The loosen anterior teeth can be treated when periodontal inflammation was controlled with the good oral hygiene.30 patients were selected and randomly divided into two group: The experimental group(Super-bond adhesive periodontal splint)and the control group(wire-resin periodontal splint).3.Review of maintenance: once every 3 months to review the maintenance,to record the usage of periodontal splint.Clinical examination in patients with periodontal status,record loose incised plaque index(PLI),bleeding index(BI),periodontal probing depth(PD)and loose(TM).Record patients subjective ratings of periodontal splint.4.Statistical analysis: this experimental data using SPSS 17.0 statistical software for statistical analysis.The experimental group and control group of patients with periodontal status and patient satisfaction scores of periodontal splint matching t test.The experimental group and control group splint clinical efficacy evaluation into the chi-square test.Result: 1.Patients after periodontal basic treatment after 1 month,two groups BI,PLI were significantly improved(P < 0.01);But with the TM and PD is not significantly difference(P > 0.05).Periodontal splint treatment after 6 months,two groups of fixed TM increased significantly(P < 0.001);Two groups of PD is significantly improved(P < 0.05);The control group PLI is significantly increased(P < 0.01);Two groups of BI is is not significantly difference(P > 0.05).2.Two groups of periodontal splint is similar of the curative effect for treating loosen teeth caused by advanced periodontitis.3.Beauty and comfort of experimental periodontal splint was obviously higher than that of control group.Conclusion:1.The cases of different conditions should be chosen appropriate kinds of periodontal splint.2.Periodontal splint can make the loosen teeth work longer,and can control the development of the periodontal tissue inflammation effectively.3.For suitable cases,Super-bond adhesive periodontal splint is better than wire-resin periodontal splint.4.Review on schedule and control of plaque play the important role for fixing loosen tooth.
