Aortic stenosis is most commonly occurs in the elderly over the age of 65 years heart valve disease,characterized by first started to aortic valve leaf sclerosis slow progress of the disease.Its progress is irreversible from the initial valve leaflets local thickening and hardening to valve movement disorders,and ultimately form severe AS.With the global population aging trend,the prevalence rate of AS increased year by year.The change of the structure of the AS is lack of effective drug treatment.Cardiac surgery is an important means of treatment of AS.AS has become a common condition in cardiac surgery.The timing of surgery of asymptomatic severe AS is controversy.The further study of the disease is needful.This article has summarized some research progress about asymptomatic severe AS in recent years,particularly the surgical treatment,to improve the understanding of the clinicians and provide reference for clinical diagnosis and therapy.
