Objective: The incidence of colon cancer at the forefront of gastrointestinal cancer, the incidence of colon cancer is gradually improving, and that the majority of elderly patients, no obvious clinical symptoms, diagnosis is more advanced, protein tyrosine enzyme O(protein tyrosine phosphatase-receptor-type O, PTPRO) is a novel protein tyrosine phosphatase, tumor cell skeleton in dynamic equilibrium, apoptosis, migration, tumor differentiation, proliferation, growth and development plays a very important role in the present study was to investigate the expression PTPRO colon cancer tissue and normal tissue, and further explore the PT-PRO occur in colon cancer development mechanism and its significance.Methods:1 80 cases of colon tissue and colon cancer tissue adjacent the corresponding paraffin blocks were selected from the Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin Armed Police Logistics College anorectal surgery from January 2013 to October 2015 surgical specimens, pathology specimens were all in affiliated armed Logistics College department of pathology, all preoperative patients with colon cancer were underwent tumor therapies radiotherapy, chemotherapy, biological therapy, preoperative Karnofsky score ≥80 points, all patients Circulation, urine, stool routine, liver and kidney function, blood clotting All patients with colon cancer, and so far 64-slice CT routine examination before surgery, pathology results were preoperative colonoscopy biopsy, no other than colon cancer metastasis, all patients had no surgical contraindications, selected underwent radical resection tumors. Adjacent tissues from the tumor tissue of about 5cm.2 Application of immunohistochemistry(IHC), detecting the expression of PTPRO in 80 patients’ s cancer tissues and cancerous tissues, and analyze the relationship between PTPRO and patient’s age, sex, tumor size, tumor differentiation, tumor stage, depth of invasion, lymph node metastasis.3 All the data obtained by the SPSS 13.0 software package for statistical analysis, using the chi-square test, with a significance level α = 0.05,P<0.05 was statistically significant.Results:1 The positive rate of expression in colon PTPRO 71.90%(59/80), colon cancer and normal tissues positive rate was 93.75%(75/80), the result is P <0.01, statistically significant;2 PTPRO in colon cancer patients with positive expression of age, gender, tumor differentiation, tumor diameter irrelevant(P>0.05), but with the depth of infiltration in colon cancer tumor tissue, Dukes staging, lymph node metastasis was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:1 PTPRO showed low expression in colon cancer, is highly expressed in colon cancer tissues adjacent;2 Patients with positive expression of Dukes PTPRO stage, lymph node metastasis, depth of invasion, and the patient’s age, independent of gender, degree of differentiation, tumor diameter.
