Objective:To discuss the revelance of the level of serum fibroblast growth factor23(FGF-23)with left ventricular hypertrophy(LVH)? serum calcium ? serum phosphate ? intact parathyroid hormone(i PTH)and other clinical parameters in maintenance hemodialysis(MHD).Methods : Eighty hemodialysis patients were randomly selected from about six hundred patients accroding to the experiment demands in hemopurification center department ***with relatively stable condition.The level of serum fibroblast growth factor 23 was examined by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay,other determined indexes concluded the level of serum calcium ?serum phosphate?hemoglobin and intact parathyroid hormone,also other indexes such as systolic pressure ? diastolic pressure? dialysis age?height?weight,et al.At the mean time,all patients took the examination of echocardiography,then left ventricular mass index were calculated accroding to Devereux formula.Thus eight patients were diveded into two groups,the left ventricular hyperthophy group which had fifty-nine cases and non-left ventricular hrpertrophy which had twenty one cases.Results:It demonstrates that the level of fibroblast growth factor 23 significantly goes up in maintenance hemolysis patients.In addition,the level of fibroblast growth factor 23 has a close relationship with left ventricular hypertrophy and the level of serum phosphorus,et al.This may be applied to improve the survival rate of maintenance hemodialysis patients by means of reducing the morbidity of cardiovascular disease since early intervention of the level of fibroblast growth factor 23 according to whether it can be a new treatment target in chronic kidney disease.However,the mechanism that how fibroblast growth factor induces cardiovascular disease is still not perfectly clear and need to be further studied.
