Objective: This study explore the l-carnitine interventing obstructive azoospermia(OA)patients and impacting the outcomes of using intracytoplasmic sperm injection technique(ICSI)by pregnancy in clinicical. Methods: Retrospective analysising 136 obstructive azoospermia patients from our reproductive center from January 2015 to November 2015,71 OA patients were applicated l-carnitine(Northeast pharmaceuticals,1.0g,Po.bid)as experimental group,65 OA patients had no oral drug called control group. After three months all the patients were used percutaneus epididymal sperm aspiration fetched sperms to apply ICSI assisted reproduction at the day of female extracting their eggs. And then tested and compared the sperm DNA integrity rate, sperm acrosome intact rate and spontaneous acrosome reaction rate of two groups of OA patients; Finally observed the fertilization rate, cleavage rate, good embryo rate and pregnancy rate of ICSI cycles in two groups of patients as ending index.Results:(1)OA patients age, years of infertility amount of testosterone,FSH values, infertility and testicular volume and female age, number of ovums of two groups were no significant difference(P > 0.05).(2)The sperm DNA integrity rate and sperm acrosome intact rate of experimental group patients were higher than the control group's,sperm acrosome spontaneous reaction rate of experimental group patients was significant lower than experimental group's,the difference has statisticallysignificant(P < 0.05).(3)The sperm DNA integrity rate and sperm acrosome intact rate of experimental group patients after treatment were significantly higher than the patients before treatment, the sperm acrosome spontaneous reaction rate of experimental group after treatment was lower than the patients' before treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).(4)The sperm DNA integrity rate, sperm acrosome intact rate and sperm acrosome spontaneous reaction rate in the control group patients before and after treatment 3 months had no significant difference(P >0.05).(5)The fertilization rate and good embryo rate in ICSI cycles of experimental group were significantly higher than the control group patients',the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05);There were no statistically significant difference of cleavage rate and pregnancy rate(P > 0.05)Conclusions:(1)The l-carnitine can effectively improve the quality of sperm in obstructive azoospermia patients including sperm DNA integrity rate, sperm acrosome intact rate, and reduce sperm spontaneous acrosome reaction rate.(2)The l-carnitine can increase fertilization rate, good embryo rate of ICSI cycles,it will contribute to the ultimate outcomes of ICSI cycles.
