A Study On Discipline Construction Model Of Health Management In General Tertiary Hospitals

At present in China,social economy develops rapidly,people's living standard improves continually and our citizen's health demand increases constantly;meanwhile,the patients,health care,health promotion,specific and high-level health consumer groups are gradually in formation,thus,various types of health management center are emerging at this right moment.According to itsproperty and affiliation,the health management center currently in the market with mature development and a sound operational mechanism,could mainly divided into three categories:(1)the health management center of general hospitals and this type occupy a dominant position in the market;(2)the professional(private)health management center;(3)the health management center in sanatorium.Among the health management center in general hospitals,those in level three general hospitalsoccupy the leadership role whether in the quantity or quality of construction.After more than ten years' exploration and innovation,level three general hospitals have gradually formed three main models of health management center during construction,namely,disciplines construction,hospital-community collaboration,hospital-social capital cooperation,and obtained preferable achievements,accumulated rich experience while laid a solid foundationparticularly in the disciplines construction.At present,China's health management is transforming from the early development stage of "hard starting and innovative practice" to the normative growth phase of "great development ofdiscipline and prosperous industry",however,the lagging behind discipline construction restricted the development of health management,thus weneed to vigorously strengthen the construction of discipline and the development model ofhealth management center should be transformed fromthe scale effect-oriented epitaxial model to the intension-type leading by discipline construction.Health management center in level three general hospitals havealready laid foundation for the great development of discipline and possesses comparative conditions,we should give full play to the superior of the discipline construction and take advantages of the rich experience,actively leading the transformation development of the health management center(agency)and industry,meanwhile,leading the health management in Chinatoa sustainable development way.Simultaneously,the reform engine of public hospital has been launched,and the state has proposed a prevention firstmedical policy strategy“put screening forward,move concerning downward”,which made the hospital's function not just limited to the traditional diagnosis and treatment,but also combined with medical services such as preventive care,health management,rehabilitation,medical treatment andsupport,thereafter,construction and development of health management discipline in general hospitals is imperative.At this stage,although there are a certain amount of level three general hospitals developed health management center andhealth management discipline,however,the proportion of thetotal level three general hospitals is still not high,and few researches study related to the construction of health center management and health management discipline.In this study,considering the urgent demand of health management and the practical requirement to transformation development of public hospitalsin China,we exploredthediscipline construction modelof health management in general hospitals,aiming to motivate them take full advantage of their abundant resources to build health management discipline,carry out health management services,and thus driving the transformation of hospitalsand the development of health management discipline,promoting the boom of health career in our country;simultaneously,providing decision-making base for hospital administrators.Methods applied in this study mainly conclude literature research,questionnaire,statistical analysis,expert consultation,in-depth interviews,case studies and content analysis etc.,furthermore,we did a systematically in-depth research on the discipline construction of health management center in general hospitals,summarized successful experiences,analyzed existing problems,put forward countermeasures and suggestions,building a relatively systematic,scientific,workable model for the discipline construction of health management center in level three general hospitals.The main contents include:(1)The basic principles and special characteristics of health management discipline construction.(2)Investigation of the current condition ofhealth management center in general hospitals.(3)Study on discipline construction cases of health management center in level three general hospitals.(4)Establish discipline construction model of health management center in level three general hospitals.Research results:1.The basic principle and particularity of discipline construction in general hospitals' health management center.The discipline construction of health management center in general hospitals must follow not only the basic principles including strategic,long-term,systematic,dynamic,symbiotic and workable of construction and developmenton other medical disciplines,but also should meet the particularity concludingintersectionality,integration,manageability,commercial,service and informatization.2.Health management center of level three general hospitals occupy the dominate situation amonghealth management center in general hospitals,the good hardware construction and high-degreed standardization have trained a group of health management professionals,laying a sound foundation for leading the construction of health management disciplines.3.Discipline construction model is the optimal path for sustainable development of health managementCenter in level three general hospitals,moreover,level three general hospitals already possess the basis and conditions for the construction of health management disciplines.4.The discipline construction models of health management center in level three general hospitals mainlycontain eight aspects: disciplinary orientation,organization and management,optimization personnel,specificthe content of health services,scientific research promotion,personnel cultivate system construction,academic communication platform building,discipline brand creating.Main conclusions: the level three general hospitals already possess the well foundationand superior conditions for the construction of health management disciplines,we should take full advantage of the opportunity of health management in the "great development ofdiscipline and prosperous industry" stage,and have the courage to be creative,dare to explore and build the health management disciplines with great efforts.Innovation of this research:(1)explorative theoretical study on thehealth management disciplines whichobeythe universal law and its particularity;(2)bring organization and management theory into the discipline construction theory tentatively;(3)establish the discipline construction modelof health management center in general hospitals creatively.Significances of the research:(1)in respect to hospitals,we provide orientation andthoughtsfor the development of health management center and the construction of health management discipline;(2)from the point view ofhealth management academy,we bring out basis and reference for the discipline construction and model bases standardization construction.
