| Objective : To compare the applied value of locating and qualitative diagnosing biliary obstruction between CDUS and MRI, and clear their advantage and disadvantage, which can direct clinic to choose better method. Methods:The clinic and imaging data of 120 cases patients with biliary obstruction diagnosed through surgery, pathology or ERCP were included, who completed CDUS,MRI and MRCP before surgery. Two doctors diagnosing abdominal imaging analysis imaging data retrospectively, including the position, degree, characteristic of lesion and its circum situation about obstruction. The results of locating and qualitative diagnosis about biliary obstruction using CDUS and conventional MRI were counted respectively, and their differences were compared using chi-square test. Results:This research collected 120 cases diagnosed biliary obstruction. CDUS and MRI accurately located 114 cases and 116 cases, respectively, so their locating accuracy rates were 95% and 96.6%, respectively, whose difference had no statistical significance(P=0.500). CDUS and MRI qualitatively diagnosed 95 cases and 112 cases, respectively, those result was accurate and their qualitative accuracy rates were 79.2% and 93.3%, respectively. This difference had statistical significance(P=0.000). In 81 benign lesions, CDUS can show 65 lesions compared with 74 lesions diagnosed using MRI, so the accuracy rates were 80.2% and 91.3%, respectively, and the difference had statistical significance(P=0.022).CDUS and MRI qualitatively diagnosed 30 lesions and 38 lesions accurately in 39 malignant lesions, respectively, and their accuracy rates were 76.9% and 97.4%, respectively, where a statistical significance was observed(P=0.008).Conclusions:Both CDUS and MRI have significant value in locating diagnosing biliary obstruction, but MRI is more effective in differential diagnosing benign and malignant biliary obstruction than CDUS. |
