Objectives:To detect the level of serum von Willbrand Factor in nonvalular atrial fibrillation, and explore the potential of v WF as serum market in atrial fibrillation with ischemic stroke. Method:50 hospitalized patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation were enrolled in Department of Cardiology in the First Affiliated Hospital of Universtiy of South China from May 2015 to October 2015, according to the electrocardilgram and dynamic electrocardiogram, these patients were divided into two groups:paroxysmal atrial fibrillation group?n=15? and persistent atrial fibrillation group?n=35?. 32 patients with sinus rhythm were selected in the same period as control group.Clinical history was recorded, including age, gender, present medical history, past medical history, smoking history and so on. Peripheral venous blood was collected. Blood routine, blood glucose, blood lipids, liver and kidney function, electrolytes and other biochemical indicators were measured.Left Atrial Diamenter was measured in echocardiography department. Head CT or MRI examination was checked to determine whether there is ischemic stroke or not. The CHADS2 score in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation was counted. To analyze the difference of general information?laboratory indictors and v WF among paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, persisent atrial fibrillation and control group. To analyze the relations among v WF, ischemic stroke and CHADS2 score.Results:1)The difference of age, gender, smoking history, history of hypertension, coronary heart disease, diabetes, blood glucose, blood lipid among persistent AF group, paroxysmal AF group and control group is not statistically significant?P>0.05?;2)Compared with the control group,LAD levels in persisent AF and paroxysmal AF are extremely increased, the difference has statistical significance?p<0.01?; LAD levels in persisent AF are higher than paroxysmal AF,the difference has statistical significance?p<0.01?;3)Compared with the control group, plasma v WF in persisent AF and paroxysmal AF is significantly increased?p<0.01?, v WF levels in persisent AF is higher than paroxysmal AF, but the difference has no statistically significant?P>0.05?;4)Plamsa v WF in persisenta and paroxysmal AF group has no relation with the level of LAD and CHADS2;5)Plasma v WF level in AF with stroke is significantly higher than that of no stroke?p<0.01?.Conclusions:1)Plasma v WF levels and left atrial diameter may be a risk factor for atrial fibrillation.2) High levels of plasma v WF may become a serum marker of atrial fibrillation in patients with cerebral stroke.
