Objective:Using the three-dimensional(3D) printing technology evaluating acetabulum defects and guiding the production of acetabulum cover and repaired the acetabulum defect and through the bone graft of acetabulum cover when operate total hip replacement on adult DDHMethods:(1) Establish the experimental model: A 59 years old male with congenital Developmental Dysplasia Of The Hip(DDH) and osteoarthritis who is Reading to surgical treatment, the cases underwent scanning and reconstruction with Spiral CT, obtained a tomographic image data which was recorded in DICOM format and saved in computer,the data be processed by Mimics16.0 application software and completed three dimensional reconstruction of experimental mode, generated standard STL file format and export to 3D printers, then Print the model with PLA material.(2)3D printing application: evaluating the acetabulum defect to guide the production of acetabulum cover and using 3D printing model to simulate surgery procedures of total hip replacement and bonegraft of acetabulum cover to repair the defect in the acetabulum;(3)Clinical research: completing the operation as scheduled, following to understand the situation of patients recovery,such as hip function ?Harris score?bone graft fusion?the position of acetabulum cover and artificial hip joint.Result:Through 3d printing we has been clear about the shape of hip joint, the region and the degree of acetabulum defect in adult acetabulum dysplasia and guided to customize the acetabulum cover, successfully completed the operation of total hip replacement and repaired defects of acetabulum through bone graft surgery of acetabulum cover,Postoperative recovery of patients was show to be satisfaction, 2 years of follow-up,the tip function in patients is normal, Harris hip score is excellent,X-ray photos show bone graft fusion, hip position is normal without looseness as well as acetabulum cover.Conclusion:(1)The application of 3D printing technology can show the shape of hip joint accurately and assessment of defects of acetabulum in adult DDH,and guide the production of personalized acetabulum cover.(2)The application of 3d printing technology which assist bone graft of acetabulum cover can improve the operation efficiency and accuracy,reduce the surgical trauma when operate Total hip replacement on adult DDH.
