Objective to construct a nursing intervention for laryngocarcinoma patients receiving enteralnutrition therapy, supported by evidence-based practice and to evaluate the effect of the nursing intervention. Methods A qualitative convergent-care study with 12 nursing professionals in the E.N.T Department in hospital of Qingdao.Data collectionwas performed, with semi-structured interviews. Then to construct a nursing intervention for laryngocarcinoma patients receiving enteralnutrition therapy.The surgically operated patients with laryngocarcinoma who were hospitalized in the time range from July of 2014 to July of 2015, were classified into two groups with or without the intervention.Patients in the experimental group received the intervention(n=58), while patients in the control group received routine nursing(n=49).The clinical effects and the rate of tube feeding were compared. Results The intervention consisted of stabilization of the tube, enteric position of the tube, maintaining and monitoring the speed, temperature and nutrient concentrations.The intervention can increase the rate of tube feeding and decrase The clinical effects of patients with laryngoc- arcinoma. Conclusion A nursing intervention for laryngocarcinoma patients receiving enteralnutrition therapy can increase the rate of tube feeding and decrease the clinical effects of patients with laryngocarcinoma. It deserves to be promoted in clinic.
