Objective:Cerebral infarction is a disease with the characteristics of high-risk, high disability and high mortality, which causes heavy burdens on society and family. Thus,it is very important to investigate the prevention and treatment of cerebral infarction. The objectives of this study is to study the effect of salvianolic acids used in clinical on treatment of cerebral infarction, improvement of nerve function defect symptoms as well as life ability, and to survey the safety of clinical application.Methods:64 acute cerebral infarction patients were involved in this study. They were randomly assigned into two groups(experiment group and control group) with 32 patients in each group. The patients in experimental group received the basic treatment and the treatment of salvianolic acids, while the patients in control groups only received the basic treatment. The courses of treatment were 14 days. The patients in both groups received the evaluation of nerve function defect based on the criteria of Nominal Institute of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS) and activity of daily living according to the standard of Activity of Daily Living Scale(ADL) at the zero and fifteen days. Meanwhile, the relevant inspections were made on the patients. Results:The results show that there is no statistically significant difference of the scores of NIHSS and ADL before the treatment for the patients in both groups. The scores of NIHSS for the patients in both groups decreased after treatment. And the decrease degree(7.31±3.63) for the experimental group was more pronounced than that for the control groups(9.56±3.65). Also, the difference presents the statistically significant(P<0.05). In addition, the scores of ADL for the patients in both groups increased after treatment. And the increase extent for the experimental group(57.97±5.66) was more obvious than that for the control group(50.31±6.83). And the difference shows the statistically significant(P<0.001).The clinical effects of salvianolic can be evaluated according to the change of NIHSS scores before and after treatment. The effective rates for experimental group and control group were 68.75% and 53.13%, respectively. This difference exhibits the statistically significant(p<0.05).The incidences of adverse effect were 6.25% and 3.12% for experimental group and control group, respectively. Conclusion: It is concluded that salvianolic acids used in clinical can significantly improve the nerve function defect symptoms of patients and increase the activity of daily living.Due to its good safety, it is worth to be popularized. |
