| Objective: This study was aimed to examine the correlation between the serum biomarkers including tau protein, beta amyloid protein and postoperative cognitive dysfunction associated cardiopulmonary bypass.Methods:1. The cognitive of dysfunction of all the patients undergoing cardiac valve surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass were accessed with authority scales at preoperative stage and 7 days after operation.2.All the blood sample from this patient were obtain at preoperative stage,1 hour after CPB,6 hour after CPB,1 days after operation, 3 days after operation and7 days after operation, and were analyzed by ELISA with tau protein levels, serum amyloid beta protein.3.Patients were divided into 2 groups(POCD and non-POCD)according to the results of the scales, and then compared the serum biomarkers levels of the two groups and access the reliability and accuracy of a standard for the three makers associated to the postoperative cognitive dysfunction after CPB.Result:The incidence of POCD is 36.6%(13 in 36 patiens);age of the patients is the one of risk fators to the postoperative cognitive dysfunction after CPB,all the three biomarkers rises after CPB, however the Tau protein at the 1-hour and 6-hour time point were both significantly elevated in the presence of POCD.Conclusions:1. Serum levels of TAU protein were significantly higher in patients with POCD group after cardiac surgery;2.TAU protein is closely related to postoperative cognitive dysfunction, and it plays significantly roles in the early diagnosis of POCD after CPB3. Age is an one of the risk factors for the occurrence of postoperative cognitive dysfunction... |
