Case Reports Of Face Bow And Fully Adjustable Articulators Applied In Prosthodontic

The main oral diseases include tooth defect, dentition defect and dentition deficiency, which may causethe disorders of stomatognathic system.During oral restoration, occlusal reconstruction, for somepatients, is used to get the maxillomandibular relation. When the face bow record is transferred to the articulator, it could establish the same relative position of the cast to the opening axis mechanism of the articulator as the maxilla has to the temporomandibular join. Articulator, which isconvenient for doing research on the connection between occlusion and mandibular movement, tooth arrangement and occlusal adjustment, is used for fixing maxillomandibular dental cast, keeping centric occlusion, centric relation and vertical dimension. Nowadays, there are two classificationmethods on articulators. According todifferent accuracy of simulation of mandibular movements, articulators are divided into the nonadjustablearticulators, semiadjustablearticulators and fully adjustable articulators,otherwise,which aredivided into theanatomicarticulators and nonanatomic articulators, basing on different structure of the condyles.In this paper,common dentalrestorative diseases,Amann Girrabach Artex face bow record and transfer, ArtexArcon CRfullyadjustable articulatormounting, medical history collection,doctor-patient communication,treatment plan indications, clinical effect are described in detail.
