Objectives:To investigate the clinicopathological features and prognostic factors of the gastrointestinal neuroendocrine neoplasms(GI-NENs).Methods:The clinical data of 131 patients with GI-NENs who were admitted to the Union Hospital of Huazhong University of Science and Technology from October 2011 to September 2015 were retrospectively analyzed. Patients were followed up via phone call or out-patient examination till February 29,2016.The Kaplan-Meier method was used for drawing the survival curve and calculating the survival rate. The univariate analysis was done by Log-rank test and the muhivariate analysis was done by COX proportional hazards model. Results:The male:female radio of the patients was 2.07.87 cases(66.4%) are 50-70 years old.47 cases(35.9%) were located at the stomach,65(49.6%)at the rectum.61 cases(46.6%) were in grade 1,13(9.9%) in grade 2 and 57(43.5%) in grade 3.114 cases were followed up for a median time of 16 months(range,1-56 months). The 1-,3-year overall survival rates were 89.9%,67.0%.Univariate analysis showed that age(P=0.007),location(P<0.001),types of tumor(P<0.001),tumor size(P<0.001),classification and grading(P<0.001),staging(P<0.001) were correlated with the prognosis of the patients.Multivariate analysis(Cox regression) revealed that pathological grading(P=0.010) are the independent factors affecting the prognosis.Conclusions:GI-NENs are getting more and more common currently. Men have higher risks than women, especially for age in fifties and sixties. The most common involved organ is stomach and rectum.Pathological grading are the independent factors affecting the prognosis.
