Objective To investigate the security and validity of the induction dose of rocuronium bromide calculated by corrected body weight in caesarean section with general anesthesia. Methods Fifteen pregnant women took caesarean section with general anesthesia(group A) and fifteen non-pregnant women took non-caesarean section(group B), ASA I~II, aged from fifteen to fifty old. Both groups received a single dose of rocuronium bromide during induction of general anesthesia and the rocuronium was calculated as 0.9mg/kg×CBW(kg). According to CBW=IBW+40%×(TBW-IBW)calculated corrected body weight. The oneset time, duration of action maintain 0 and duration of action to 25% of rocuronium bromide were recorded by the TOF-Watch SX monitor Apgar scores, haemodynamics during the trachea intubation and residual neuromuscular block were also recorded at the same time. Results There was no significant difference between the two groups in physical data. The induction dose of rocuronium bromide according to corrected body weight could achieve satisfactory muscle relaxant. On one hand, as to security, corrected body weight as standard calculating the induction dose of rocuronium bromide in caesarean section with general anesthesia, the haemodynamics during trachea intubation was steady and the Apgar scores are all between 8 to 9 point. What's more, none of the patients experienced postoperative residual effect muscle relaxant. On the other hand, as to validity, compared to non pregnant women, pregnant women took caesarean section with general anesthesia had shorter oneset time(A group 62.3±11.7s,B group 78.0±10.5s,P<0.05), longer duration of action maintain 0 and duration of action to 25% of rocuronium bromide(A group 40.8±7.4min and 65.3±10.1min,B group 33.7±9.8min and 55.0±12.8min,P<0.05).Conclusion Use corrected body weight to calculate the dose of ocuronium bromide can be applied to caesarean section safely. There is no apparent harmful effect on maternal and fetal and it also meets the requirement of rapid sequence induction. Pregnant women took caesarean section with general anesthesia have shorter oneset time, longer duration of action maintain 0 and duration of action to 25% of rocuronium bromide.
