Objective: Exploration and survey on the causes of the working pressure of nurses, discussion on nurses’ occupational stress and coping style in a classified 3A hospital in Qiqihaer city can improve the quality of nursing, maintain the stability of the nursing team and provide a direction for clinical nursing management.Method: In our study, a lot of questionnaire surveies were used widely, we used the random sampling method to choose nurses serving as research subjects in a classified 3A hospitals in Qiqihar city, including the day shift and night shift nurses, all participating testers were informed in advance and consented to participate in this survey. We designed the questionnaire which included general population survey, sources of nursing stress questionnaire, Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire. The researcher analyzed the questionnaires from multi-level, multi-dimensional by making the general population survey, sources of nursing stress standardized questionnaire and Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire. Deeply study and exploration of nurses occupational stress coping could maximize the extent to reduce the nurses’ job stress and burnout, and provide a direction for clinical nursing management.Result: All the survey subjects were female, a total of 164 people, aged 20 to 55 years, an average of 33.17±9.58years; Education: the number of college education was 30, accounting for 18.3%, the number of nurses with a bachelor degree or above was 67,accounting for 40.9%; Marital status: the number of single nurses was 30 persons,accounting for 18.3%, the married personnel of 105 persons were accounting for 64%,the divorced / widowed 29 persons are accounting for 17.7%; Title:The primary subject construct the majority of the nurses which contained a total of 101 people, accounting for 61.6%, the number of intermediate title was 50 people,accounting for 30.5%, 13 nurses were senior titles, accounting for 7.9% of the investigation subjects. The scale of the pressure source of nurses contained a total of five dimensions and 35 sub-projects. In each direction, the most concerned problem was the nursing profession and work, the score was 3.33 ± 0.49, the second was the working environment and resources with the score of 2.90 ± 0.68, these two dimensions were scoring higher pressure level. The aspect of patient care was ranked third, the pressure score was 2.38 ± 0.46. The fourth issue was the distribution of the workload and time, pressure score was 2.16 ± 0.38, the little score of pressure was the problem of relationship between the nurses and the leaders, with score of 2.02 ± 0.69. The score of three dimensions of the pressure was in medium level. The average score for the total pressure was 93.29 ± 11.31. This study used a simplified stress coping questionnaire, including positive coping and negative coping two dimensions, the following was the positive coping in the top five: seeking advice from friends and relatives or classmates, learning from others who had methods to deal with the same problems, saying the distress to the others and talking to others, seeking hobby, participating in sports activities and learning through work or some other relief activities. Scores were 2.56 ± 0.61,2.54 ± 0.57,2.43 ± 0.59,2.39 ± 0.73,2.37 ± 0.72. In negative coping styles, the top five were: putting the temporary problem(trouble) aside, giving their own comfort, the time changing the everything, waiting a miracle and trying to forget the entire event, scores were 2.37 ± 0.85,1.80 ± 0.61,1.34 ± 0.64,1.34 ± 0.64,1.21 ± 0.66.Conclusion: 1 In this study, the working pressure of nurses in the study was at a high level, the related professional stressors of nurses included the nursing profession itself, the work environment and resources, patient care issues. 2 There were significant differences among the hospital nurses’ job stress in the aspects of different departments, job title, age care, wages, clinical teaching, whether there being chronic disease, with or without children. 3 The overall approaches of hospital nurses coping with the pressure were relative positive, the mainly approaches were to seek to relatives and friends for help, learn from others ways to deal with things, talk with other people. The negative coping styles included putting aside the problem temporarily, comforting themselves, thinking time will change the status quo, and the less approaches were smoking,alcohol and other unhealthy ways to resolve the pressure, the result indicated that the hospital should improve the current status of nursing staff actively, find scientific and effective way to maximize the reduction of nurses working pressure.
