Purposes:In order to find out the factors influencing the quality of current internship practice,this paper conducts a questionnaire survey on students of Suzhou University in 2009 and 2010majoring in clinical medicine who are practicing at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University so as to push practical teaching reform,improve the quality of practice and provide an objective basis based on the personal experience of interns.Methods:The survey questionnaire is designed to contain the basic information of the students surveyed and their practice conditions.The subjects of the survey included gender,length of schooling,interest in internship,preparation before the internship,relationship with the teacher and purpose of medical study.Internship survey mainly includes:the ratio of number teachers to teach and guide,the actual number of operations by students themselves,the actual operating skills they master,the development of various types of teaching activities and the improvement of humanistic qualities.The questionnaire was conducted one week before the end of the internship,and the statistics were collected in time.Statistical methods:Statistical analysis was completed by using SPSS21.0 statistical software.The number of cases was described by cases(n)or percentage(%).The data were analyzed by chi-square test:the mean and standard deviation(x ± s)to record data then t test to analyze them.We should screen out factors influencing the practice scores by univariate analysis so as to obtain the statistically significant variables first,then do logistic regression analysis through multiple factors.P<0.05 was considered that the difference has statistically significance.Result:The survey has 222 students,including 130 clinical five-year students(accounting 58.56%of the total number),92clinical seven-year students(accounting41.44%of the total number).The survey showed that there is no significant difference(P>0.05)in the interest of students with different academic degrees in internships,the impact of internships quality for their future work,and the impact of pre-job training in adapting to clinical work and shortening the time of adaptation,the frequency of participating departmental lecture as well as number of practical opportunities.However,there are statistically differences(P<0.05)in the most concerned content students have in their internship period,the purpose of training,pre-job training to shorten the adaptation time,expect bed ratio,teacher distribution ratio,student integration into the internship department,the different school systems students have.Multivariate analysis showed that the operation performance of student was related to their interest in learning(OR=4.166,95%CI=1.554~11.168),their own giving scores(OR=1.735,95%CI=0.567-5.306)and adequate hands-on opportunities(OR=34.647,95%CI=5.182~231.676).More is that the theoretical performance of the students was related to the times of listening to the medical lectures(OR=7.244,95%CI=1.870~28.068)The more,the better.Academic system,whether to obtain scholarships,whether interested in internships and integration into the current internship department are the total score of internship factors.The students who were more interested in the internship(OR=3.146,95%CI=1.311-7.547)were better able to integrate into the internship department(OR=1.267,95%CI=0.698-2.300).Suggestions and countermeasures:In student management,need to improve the internship interest of students so that students can better integrate into the departments.It is better to strengthen attendance,strictly regulate the examination,and strengthen the training of the in vigilate or while focusing on training students interest and humanistic accomplishment.It is necessary for students to strengthen the construction of teaching hardware facilities,and in order to provide students with a better life,teaching environment.teaching venues need to be open to students.In teaching quality control,it is necessary to make full use of teaching resources to increase students’ hands-on operation opportunities,and introduce teaching encouragement policies to encourage teaching.Hospital teaching authorities should strengthen the control of daily teaching quality and carefully arrange teaching work.
