With the rapid development of liver resection technology and the improvement of people’s living standard in recent years,individualized therapy is the development trend of medical treatment.However,reconstruction of two-dimensional medical images from liver to three-dimensional model is still a problem that can not be solved completely.Image segmentation algorithm and three-dimensional software modeling provides an effective way to solve this problem,the process includes:liver raw data processing,liver characterization of the sequence generation,hierarchical reconstruction of the liver model and liver solid model printing.The key technology of human liver three-dimensional modeling is studied in this paper and the main results are as follows:The liver segmentation algorithm based on gray separation and the integration and improvement of the existing algorithms are successfully applied to solve the problem that the liver edge feature extraction is not obvious and can not be extracted only leaving the liver part without showing other tissues,which can be used to reconstruct the liver,simplify the modeling of the liver,reduce the modeling time and improve the accuracy of the liver model.In the study of liver segmentation algorithm,the level set algorithm is used to extract the contour features of the liver.Then,the region within the contour is processed by the gray separation algorithm.Finally,aiming at the drawback of manually selecting the seed point for the region growing algorithm,this method is improved which can automatically transform the gray-scale image into the image which contains only the liver feature and no other tissue.So the efficiency and precision of the algorithm are improved.This paper analyzes the problems of the traditional liver modeling methods,combined with the image segmentation algorithm to set up the three-dimensional reconstruction system to process the liver characteristic sequence,which solves the problems of manual modification of the mask,huge time-consuming and the low accuracy.With the help of Matlab,extracting and generating the liver characteristic sequence can be directly calculated by Mimics to selecting all the regions whose gray value is not 0,without the need of threshold segmentation and masking modification manually.Finally,the three-dimensional model can be 3D printed.Thus,the liver efficiency and accuracy of the three-dimensional modeling can be solved.According to the above research,succeeded in the experiment on the A and B patients with abdominal CT images.First of all,the gray separation algorithm has a good processing effect,which solves the problem that the liver edge feature can not be automatically segmented and the segmentation effect is not good.Secondly,the method of reconstructing the liver model on the hepatic characteristic sequence is tested to shorten the time greatly;finally,through the liver solid model of 3D printing completed the entire experiment.
