Epithelioid Angiomyolipoma Of The Kidney:A Case Report And Review Of Literature

Objective:To investigate the clinical feature of renal epithelioid angiomyolipomas,pathological characteristics,diagnosis,treatment and prognosis.To improve the understanding and diagnostic level of renal epithelioid angiomyolipomas(EAML).Methods:This study we retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 1 case of a patient with renal epithelioid angiomyolipomas,admitted to the Shandong provincial hospital uropoiesis surgical department on March 3,2017.Female patients,37,because intermittent with macroscopic haematuria 1 months before admission.B ultrasonic examination:the right kidney solid placeholder(Ca?).CT examination:consider the right kidney tumor,size of about 7.3x9.4x 10.5cm,conform to the right kidney involvement of the renal pelvis,right renal vein.On March 6,20]7 in the patient underwent laparoscopic radical nephrectomy.Results:On March 6,2017 patients underwent laparoscopic right radical nephrectomy.Postoperative pathology(pathological number:S1702549):(right),renal malignant epithelioid angiomyolipomas(11 x9cm),ureteral tangent and renal tumor vascular did not see tumor investigation.Immunohistochemical staining of melanoma associated antigen(HMB-45)strong positive,and a positive Melan A.The patient recovers smoothly,followed up for 2 months yet without recurrence and metastasis.Conclusions:Renal angiomyolipomas(AML)mostly are benign,and the disease is closely associated with tuberous sclerosis.Renal epithelioid angiomyolipomas(EAML)is a rare variant of renal angiomyolipomas.In 2004,the world health organization defines it as "more than one skin cells to give priority to with diffusion characteristics of potential of malignant stromal tumors.EAML is mainly composed of epithelioid cells,spindle cells and giant cells,contains no or only a small amount of lipoma,its imaging examination easily misdiagnosed as renal cell carcinoma and sarcoma.Its treatment mainly relys on surgical resection.Its diagnosis relys on the postoperative pathological,immunohistochemical features display HMB-45,MelanA strong positive,EMA negative.EAML is given priority to local invasion and lymph node metastasis,the overall prognosis is good.
