The Clinical Research Of Treating Frozen Shoulder Under Arthroscopic Release Combined With Herbal Fumigation Speciality: The Combination Of Traditional Chinese Medicine And Western Medicine

Purpose :Shoulder periathritis is a common disease,which is characterized by pain and restriction of the joint.It has drawn widely attention because of its high incidence and long course.However,there are arguments about the effective treatment of shoulder periathritis.This paper is aimed at finding effective and safe method by discussing clinical effectiveness of curing frozen shoulder by herbal fumigation combined with arthroscopic release.Method:A total number of 80 patients with frozen shoulder from December 2014 to December 2016 were randomly divided into treatment and control groups.The treatment group received herbal fumigation and arthroscopic release,while the control group were simply given arthroscopic release.To assess the pre-and post-treatment’s subjective score of pain in shoulder,constant-murley score and shoulder mobility of each group,from which evaluating comprehensive effect.All the data were analyzed by SPSS 17.0.Results:1.VAS Both groups demonstrated significant difference between pre-treatment and two-weeks-posttreatment in VAS(P<0.05).There was significant difference between treatment group and control group in VAS six weeks after the operation.There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in VAS three months after the operation.It indicated that treatment group’s effect on releasing pain was better than control group.2.CMS Both two groups had significant difference compared with preoperative CMS two weeks after operation.There was significant difference between two groups in CMS both six weeks and three months after operation.It showed that treatment group was better in effect of enhancing shoulder’s function both short and long term.3.ROM Both two groups had significant difference between pretreated and post-treated patients’ ROM score.There has significant difference between two groups in ROM both six and three months.It revealed that adding herbal fumigation after operation can improve shoulder’s mobility dramatically.4.Comprehensive evaluation of effect Comparing postoperative effect of two groups by Radit test at 6 weeks and 3 months after the operation,the cure or marked improvement rate of treatment group is significantly better than that of control group(P<0.05).It indicated that treatment group was superior to control group in terms of treating frozen shoulder both in short term and long term.Conclusion:Researches has proved that arthroscopic release has many advantages such as minimal invasion,small injury of soft tissue,accuracy,short recovery.Herbal fumigation can bring the medicine to the exact location,it is also easy to operate and have few side effects.Moreover,it greatly improved frozen shoulder patients postoperative pain,shoulder’s mobility and function.As for effects,frozen shoulder patients who received herbal fumigation and arthroscopic release recover better than those who simply received arthroscopic release,either short or long term.Herbal fumigation is worth of being applicated and recommended clinically.
