Objective To explore the value of judging the ablated lesion of liver in swine through conventional ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound(contrast enhanced ultrasound,CEUS)and the value of whether ablated lesion in liver in swine completely melt judging by contrast-enhanced ultrasound. Methods Choosing 10 liver in small swine for radiofrequency ablation(radiofrequency Ablation,RFA),immediately to the examination by conventional ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound after RFA and the pathological examination of liver in swine after the experiment, finally compare the corresponding results of three methods. Results There are 43 ablated lesion in 10 living swine liver, including left-right diameter, perpendicular diameter and area of the biggest tangent plane of conventional ultrasonic measurement are 3.27±0.51 cm,2.81±0.50 cm,7.20±1.59cm2,the measured values of the corresponding contrast-enhanced ultrasound are 3.36±0.57 cm,2.90±0.55 cm,7.60±1.65cm2.corresponding gross specimen measurement values are 3.40±0.60 cm?2.88±0.55 cm?7.66±1.79 cm2.The comparison of ablated lesion range results by conventional ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound, conventional ultrasound and gross specimen measurement makes a difference in statistics(P< 0.05),but the correlation is high. The ablated lesion range results of contrast-enhanced ultrasound contrast to gross specimen measurement, makes no difference in statistics(P > 0.05),but the correlation is extremely high. The pathologic examination result of liver in swine is the gold standard,CEUS determines that ablated lesion has 15 performance completely melted,28 incomplete ablated lesion.Eight(5 complete ablated lesion,3 incomplete ablated lesion)of them are not consistent with the result of biopsy pathologic examination. The judgment of accuracy was 81.4%,sensitivity of 83.3%,specificity of 76.9%,The results of whether a ablated lesion is completely melted judging by CEUS with biopsy pathologic examination are completely consistent.McNemar test had no statistical difference(P = 0.727).Conclusion The value of radiofrequency ablation scope of liver in swine judging by conventional ultrasound after RFA is limited.Contrast-enhanced ultrasound can provide reliable imaging evidence for judging radiofrequency ablation scopes in liver in swine and whether they are completely melted after RFA.
