The Influence Of Puncturing At Different Acupoints Combinations On The Brain Function Activity In Healthy Subjects

Objective:Analyzing the difference of brain functional activity between acupuncture Neiguan (PC6),Tongli (HT5) and Yangxi (LI5),Pianli (LI6) and explore the central mechanisms of healthy subjects with point group from different meridian. For the sake of investigating the factors that affect the specificity of acupoint effect of central integration effect, which can provide scientific basis for the theory of different acupuncture points have different central response.Method:40 cases of healthy subjects were randomly divided into Neiguan, Tongli group and Yang, Pianli group, Subjects received 10 acupuncture intervention (1 times a day,5 times for a course of treatment, continuous acupuncture 2 courses). During the test, the researchers collected clinical data from the baseline and final phase of the subjects, and the fMRI data.Results:1.Two comparable groups with even baseline(P>0.05) before acupuncture.Both groups of subjects’ anxiety and depression were decreased after acupuncture (P<0.05).2.After acupuncture,the changes of ReHo value of brain region from baseline of two groups were as fellow:In the meridian acupoints group,the ReHo enhanced on the right parahippocampal gyrus (BA30), insula (BA13), thalamus, bilateral cingulate gyrus,reduced on the left putamen, caudate nucleus, parahippocampal gyrus (BA28).In the control group,the ReHo enhanced on the left parahippocampal gyrus (BA36) and bilateral insula.3. Differences displayed when compared the meridian acupoints group (LI5,L16) with the control group(PC6,HT5)on the ReHo value of brain region,before and after acupuncture. The ReHo enhanced on the right precuneus (BA7), uncus (BA34), parahippocampal gyrus (BA35), medial frontal gyrus (BA25) wedge back (BA7), bilateral cingulate gyrus, the left middle frontal gyrus (BA10), back (BA21) on the temporal and reduced on the right inferior frontal gyrus (BA44), left precuneus (BA7), lenticular nucleus, back (BA21) on the temporal, frontal gyrus (BA10)Conclusions:Acupoint effect has specific role of central integration, acupuncture with different point has different central response characteristic.The specificity of acupoint effect of central integration is relative, among witch the state of the body, acupuncture treatment and acupoint selection is an important factor affecting the central response activities.The specificity of acupoint effect of central integration is conditional, to establish a strict standard of acupuncture imaging research is necessity.
