Objectives:In this study,we design two different projects of using the combination of Senna and Polyethylene glycol-electrolyte lavage solution(PEG-ELS) separatly comparing with the way only use PEG-ELS for the bowel properation,through the difference results among intestinal cleaniness,the incidence of adverse reactions,the times of diarrhea,time consuming of endocopic doctor,the rate of polyp detection,the average of polyp detection to evaluate the effect of the combination projects in bowel preparation methods before colonoscopy,in this way to offer guidance for the clinical application for useing the project of combination.Methods:Obey to the inclusion criteria and 75 patients of who preparing for colonoscopy and treatment were randomly divided into three groups of A,25patients including (PEG-ELS 2L); B,25patients including (Senna 5g+PEG-ELS 2L) and C,25patients including, (Senna 15g+PEG-ELS 1L). In each group, The cleaning effect was evaluated according to the Boston bowel preparation scal (BBPS), at the same time, we observe the adverse reactions, the times of diarrhea,time consuming of endocopic doctor use from the anus to ileocecal junction,the rate of polyp detection,the average of polyp detection.than we use SPSS 17.0 to deal with the data, in this way to evaluate the effect of bowel preparation.Results:(1) The cleanness of colon:In the left colon, in the middle of colon, in the right of colon and In the whole colon,there were no statistically significant difference among the three groups (P>0.05).(2) The rate of adverse reactions, both group B a nd C are lowerer compare with A in the adverse reactions,there were statistically significant (P< 0.05); but there were no statistically significant between group B and C (P>0.05).(3) In the aspect of the times diarrhea, group B is more than group A and C, A is more than C, but there were no statistically significant among the three groups (P> 0.05)(4) Both group B and C are less than group A in the time consuming of endoscopic doctor use from the anus to ileocecal junction, B is less than C, but there were no statistically significant among the three groups (P>0.05).(5) In the aspect of the average of polyp detection, group A is less than group B and C, C is more than B, there were no statistically significant among the three groups (P>0.05).(6) In the rate of polyp detection, group B and C is more than group A, C is more than B, but there were no statistically significant among the three groups (P>0.05).Conclusions:(1) Combination senna with PEG-ELS were lowerer compare with PEG-ELS in the rate of adverse reactions.but there were no difference between the two joint programme.(2) Combination senna with PEG-ELS in improving the the degree of cleanliness of the bowel do not have obvious advantage compare with PEG-ELS, and there were no difference between the two joint programme in the degree of cleanlinessof the bowel, and there were no obvious difference between the two joint programme in the the degree of cleanliness.
