Influence Of Serum Calcium Or Phosphorus Metabolisms And Complications In Patients With Chronic Kidney Disease Underwent Maintenance Hemodialysis By Acupuncture Combined With Medicine

Objective:to study the clinical effects of serum calcium or phosphorus metabolisms and complications in patients with chronic kidney disease(CKD)underwent maintenance hemodialysis(MHD)by acupuncture bilateral Quchi and Zusanli points combined with alfacalcidol.Method: A total of 50 consecutives as CKD patients underwent MHD with pruritus or restless legs syndrome(RLS)from January 2016 to December were divided randomly into control and observation groups and each of 25 cases.The patients in control group received single alfacalcidol treatment,and they in observation group adopted both alfacalcidol and acupuncture bilateral Quchi and Zusanli points,three times per week for four weeks in all.Then to compare the differences of clinical symptom score improvements of TCM,clinical efficacy rate and complications,biochemical indicators including peripheral blood calcium,phosphorus and parathyroid hormone(PTH)levels,inflammatory markers including peripheral blood IL-6,TNF-and CRP levels,quality of life(QOL)by the health status questionnaire(SF-36)before treatment,after two and four weeks treatment.Results:The clinical symptom scores of TCM two and four weeks after treatment were all lower than before,what’s more,they in observation group were significantly lower than control group(P<0.05)。The clinical effects in observation group were better(P<0.05),while there were no severe complications occurring in the two groups.The serum calcium levels two and four weeks after treatment were all higher,serum phosphorus and PTH levels were lower in the two groups than before,and they in observation group were more improvements than control group(P<0.05).The serum IL-6,TNF-and CRP levels in control groups were no statistical differences before and after treatment(P>0.05);while,they in observation group were lower two and four weeks after treatment,and they were significantly lower than control group(P<0.05).The scores of physical? component?summary(PCS)and mental? component?summary(MCS)of SF-36 in the two groups were gradually more after two and four weekstreatment,and they in observation group were more than control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture combined with alfacalcidol can furtherly improve clinical effects and QOL of CKD patients underwent MHD with pruritus or RLS,which may be related improvements of serum calcium,phosphorus and PTH levels,inflammations.
