ObjectiveThe Postinfectious Cough is a self-healing disease, but it can also affects the work, study in our daily life seriously when the cough is severe. So,it is very important to prevent the disease when people catches a cold.In this study,we identified the predisposing factors and the most common TCM constitution in people suffering from postinfectious cough, and then analysed the relativity between the predisposing factors and the most common TCM constitution from the perspective of disease prevention.MethodsWe choosed the outpatients who suffered from postinfectious cough and met the inclusion criteria from May 2016 to January 2017 in Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM.Those patients filled in the questionary which listed the physical identification and prediposing factors for PIC.After that,we set up a database by using SPSS19.0,retrospectively analysed the susceptible factors and the most common constitution of PIC by descriptive statistic method. And then,we explored the correlation between the susceptible factors and constitution by using logistic regression.Result1.We selected 82 cases, which included 59 cases female and 23 cases male. The average age is 42.30 ± 10.148 years old, with the minimum 18 and the maximum 73.The majority of them were 31?60 years old and 54.9%of them had a normal range BMI.2.The predisposing factors of patients with cough after tract infection were analyzed by descriptive statistical methods. It was found that frequent cough in acute respiratory tract infection,no treatment in early acute respiratory tract infection(within 48 hours),past history of similar cough,long-term exposure to dust fumes or pungent odor, dietetic habits, irregular work and rest, high pressure, similar patients in immediate family accounted a larger proportion,so these factors were considered the possible prediposing factors of postinfectious cough.3.In the aspect of constitution,we found that Yang deficiency,Qi deficiency, and the special constitution were the most common constitution, with the proportion of 39%,35.4%and 14.6%.4.We tested the susceptible factors and the three kinds of common constitution by square test, and found that there is statistical significance in the Yang deficiency with treatment in early acute respirotary tract infection and irregular work and rest(P<0.05).The Qi deficiency and Frequent cough in acute respiratory tract infection, high pressure has statistical significance(P<0.05).There is statistical significance in the special quality,Frequent cough in acute respiratory tract infection, similar patient in immediate family and long-term exposure to dust fumes or pungent odor,dietetic(P<0.05).5.We used the binary logistic regression to made a further analysis and exploration on the relativity between the factors and constitution. Finally,we found that no treatment in early acute respirotary tract infection, irregular work and rest, high pressure might cause PIC in the Yang deficiency.Frequent cough in acute respiratory tract infection, high pressure might cause PIC in the Qi deficiency. No treatment in early acute respiratory tract infection, similar patient in immediate family. All of them had s significant statistical difference.Conclusion:1.We consider that frequent cough in reapiratory tract infection,no treatment in early reapiratory tract infect ion(within 48 hours),similar cough in past history,long-term exposure to dust fumes or pungent odor, dietetic habits, high pressure, similar patient in immediate family are the predisposing factors of postinfectious cough.2.The most common three constitution in patient with PIC are Yang deficency,Qi deficiency and special quality.3.There is correlation between the predisposing factors and the most common constitution in PIC patients.
