Objective1.Development the palliative care program of lymphoma patients and caregivers2.To evaluate the effect of palliative care on the quality of life,symptom improvement,nursing burden,anxiety and depression in patients with lymphoma and their family caregivers Methods1.104 patients with lymphoma and caregivers from two hospitals in Henan Province in October 2015 to March 2016 were enrolled in this study.Two groups were assigned as control group and intervention group.Patients from the control group were given routine oncology care,including symptom management,psychological support,health education.Patients in the intervention group received palliative care at the same time as receiving routine hospital care.Firstly,we set up a palliative care team.According to the palliative care structure,the researchers who provide services to patients mainly focused on symptom management,information support,share decision-making and humanistic care.2.Data were collected at the first visit,12 weeks and 24 weeks after intervention.The clinical outcomes of patients ware measured by the Functional Assessment Cancer Therapy-Lymphoma,Edmonton Symptom Assessment Scale,Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale.The medical outcomes study 36-Item Shot-Form Health Survey,Zarit caregiver Burden Interview,and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale were used to measure the effects of caregivers burden for caregivers in physiological and psychological aspects.Date was analyzed by SPSS 21.0.Chi-square was used in qualitative data,t-test was used in the quantitative data of the general information.The changes in 2 groups during 3 times were analyzed by generalized estimating equations and repeated measurement of variance analysis.Results1.There was no significant difference in the general demographic data and disease-related data between the two groups of lymphoma patients and caregivers(P> 0.05).2.The Functional Assessment Cancer Therapy-Lymphoma and The Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale of the two groups were analyzed by repeated measurement of variance analysis.There was significant difference in the total quality of life and anxiety and depression of the two groups of lymphoma patients(P <0.05).There was no significant difference in nausea and shortness of breath between the two groups(P> 0.05).The scores of pain,fatigue,depression,anxiety and anxiety in the intervention group was lower compared with control group(P <0.05).3.The scores of general health,vitality,social functioning,role emotional of caregivers in the intervention group was better than control group(P <0.05).However,there was no significant differences between groups in physical function,role physical,bodily pain,mental health of caregivers.There was significant difference in the scores of The Zarit caregiver Burden Interview of the two groups(P <0.05).The anxiety level of the palliative care group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P <0.05),and there was no significant difference in the scores of depression.ConclusionThe early palliative care can effectively improve the quality of life of patients and caregivers,reduce the patient's adverse symptoms and anxiety and depression,lessen the caregiver burden,relieved the caregiver negative moods.It can be used as a reference for chronic disease management practice.
