| Objective:The imaging measurement of C3,C4 and C5 vertebral pedicles were carried out in computer workstation according to the parameters of the lower cervical pedicle screw placement method(local anatomy). The results were compared with the parameters of anatomical determination methods to provide theoretical basis and database for further software development. Methods:A total of 40 cases of cervical CT examination data of hospitalized patients, including 20 males and 20 females,in the orthopedic department of our hospital from October 2014 to October 2016 were selected.Their image data were treated with 3D reconstruction on a computer workstation.Their ages ranged from 18 to 70 years old, with an average of 46.98 ± 14.10 years old.The patients with cervical pedicle deformities and pedicle destruction(trauma, infection, tumor erosion)were excluded. The insertion points were selected according to the reference system of the lower cervical C3-C5 cervical pedicle screw placement(local anatomical localization). The height(PH)at the narrowest point of the pedicle, the width(PW)at the narrowest point of the pedicle, transverseangle(E)formed on the horizontal plane with the posterior lateral surface of the isthmus, and longitudinal angle formed on the sagittal plane and the posterior side of the isthmus(F)of C3-C5 vertebral pedicles were measured on the computer workstation. The results were compared with anatomical parameters and analyzed. The SPSS software was used to statistically analyze the results.Results:1.For the same segment, the height(PH)of the pedicle was greater than the width(PW),and the t test showed that the difference between the two was statistically significant(P <0.05).2.For the subjects with the same sex, there was not significant difference(P> 0.05)at the height(PH)and width(PW)of C3-C5 vertebral pedicles, while there was significant difference(P> 0.05)at the height(PH)and width(PW)of C3-C5 vertebral pedicles for subjects of different genders by t test(P<0.05).The results of the males were higher than those of females. There was also a difference between the data measured by the workstation and the data of the anatomical study(P<0.05).3.There was no significant difference in the aspects of C3-C5 pedicles transverse angle(E),longitudinal angle(F),the left and right sides of the same segment and patients with different sex(P>0.05);The transverse angle(E)and longitudinal angle(F)of the males were approximate with those of the females and there was no significant difference between the data measured by the workstation and the data ofthe anatomical study(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.The transverse angle(E)and longitudinal angle(F)of C3,C4,C5 pedicles were relatively constant in the fixed reference system and the insertion points, which show that the lower cervical pedicle screw placement method(local anatomy)based on anatomical research is feasible.2.Digital imaging assistive technology(CT workstations)allows the data of pedicles to be personalized. |
