Objective:To evaluate the effect of prophylactic anti-coagulation therapy in the prevention of portal venous system thrombosis(PVT)in portal hypertensive patients undergoing surgery. Methods:Data of 50 patients who underwent operation because of cirrhotic portal hypertension between January 2012 and November 2016 were retrospectively analyzed.Patients were divided into preventive anticoagulant treatment group(26 cases)and non-preventiveAnti-coagulant treatment group(24 cases)according to whether or not to receive prophylactic anti-coagulation therapy. The anticoagulant treatment group received intravenous low molecular dextrin 500 ml daily for 7 days starting immediately postoperatively, and after 48 hours subcutaneously Low molecular heparin sodium 5000 IU every 12 hours for 7—14days.The control group received 2-3days homeostatic drug,no postoperative anticoagulation therapy, just Symptomatic treatment.Blood coagulation was tested on day 1,3,5,7,14,ultrasound 1—2 times a week was taken for detection of portal venous thrombosis. Results:The thrombosis incidence was 11.5 %(3/26)in anticoagulant treatment group. In no preventive anticoagulant treatment group, the thrombosis incidence was 37.5%(9/24).Conclusions:Preventive postoperative anticoagulation therapy is safe, and effective in the prevention of postoperative PVT.Patients with postoperative prophylactic anticoagulation thrombolysis effect is better.
