Objective: To investigate the correlation between breast cancer molecular subtupes with the response and prognosis of breast cancer patients treated with neoadjvant chemotherapy.Method: 344 breast cancer patients of Tumor Hosipital of Xinjiang Medical University were treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy were analyzed.Molecular subtypes were subdivided based on immunohistochemical result and subdivded as Luminal A,Luminal B,HER-2 positive and Basal-like subtype.Pathologic dates were based on the Miller and Payne(M&P)grading system and considered G4?G5as efficiency. Results: Among all 334 cases,54(16.6%)were Luminal A subtype,149(44.6%)were Luminal B subtype,59(17.7%)were HER-2 positve substype,82(23.8%)cases were Bacal-like subtype.Breast cancer molecular subtypes has relationship with pathologic responses, expecially HER-2 positive and Basal-like subtype has a higher grade as pathology responses in Miller-Payne grading system than Luminal subtype, which were significantly higher than Luminal subtype.Survival analysis of molecular subtype,Luminal A subtype,Luminal B,HER-2 positive and Basal-like of type DFS and OS,were 92.6%,89.3%,71.2%,75.6%,and 100%,98%,89.8%,93.9%,the differences were statistically significant, but the Luminal subtype patients had decreased DFS and OS compraed with that of HER-2 positive and Basal-like subtype. Conclusion HER-2 positive and Basal-like subtype has a higher grade as pathology responses in Miller-Payne grading system than Luminal subtype.Compared with Luminal A subtype, patients with HER-2 positive or Basal-like subtype had encreased rates but siginficant worse survival.Molecular subtype of breast cancer can be used as a predictor of efficacy of patients treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy.
