Objective:This topic is aimed at applying the theoretical and clinical studies on penetration acupuncture at the acupoint of ShaoYang Meridian on MO to observe the clinical treatment of penetration acupuncture at the acupoint of Shao Yang Meridian on MO,thus providing the scientific basis of acupuncture treatment on MO and its therapeutic efficacy to improve the therapeutic efficacy and security while shorten the course of treatment at the same time. Methods:This topic contains two parts of theoretical and clinical studies to elaborate on the clinical significance of the treatment of penetration acupuncture at the acupoint of ShaoYang Meridian on MO.In terms of the theoretical studies, the author refers to some professional books from library and related literatures from the database of CNKI,based on the understandings and researches of our traditional medicine and western modern medicine and meanwhile focused on the onset and progression as well as the common treatments of MO to deeply analyze its etiology and pathogenesis and summarize the Chinese and Western common treatments. In terms of the clinical studies, the author follows the complete randomization to set up two groups:29 cases in the treatment group are treated with penetration acupuncture at the acupoint of ShaoYang Meridian while 28 cases in the control group are treated with oral administration of the western medicine flunarizine hydrochloride capsule. Both of them are applied with continuous treatment for one course, four weeks for each course, and rated with the symptom score,VAS,MIDAS,SAS before the treatment, right after the treatment(short-term therapeutic efficacy)and four weeks after the treatment(long-term therapeutic efficacy)and conducted with assessment of efficacy.Results:① The treatment group’ scores of short-term and long-term symptoms of migraine decrease significantly(P<0.05)compared with before the treatment. The control group’s scores of short-term symptoms of migraine decrease significantly(P<0.05)compared with before the treatment.Among the long-term symptoms, only the score of outbreak degree decreases significantly(P<0.05).In short-term observation, there are statistical differences(P<0.05)in the scores of outbreak degree and lasting time when comparing the treatment group and the control group, and there are no statistical differences in the scores of outbreak times and concomitant symptoms(P>0.05).In long-term observation, there are statistical differences(P<0.05)in the scores of outbreak times and outbreak degree and lasting time when comparing the treatment group and the control group, and there are no statistical differences in the scores of concomitant symptoms(P>0.05).② The two groups’ short-term and long-term VAS and MIDAS decrease significantly(P<0.05)compared with before the treatment. Both the short-term and long-term VAS and MIDAS of the treatment group are significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).③ There are differences in the two groups’ scores at multiple time points(0.5h,2h and 6h)compared with before the treatment. The differences have statistical significance(P<0.05).The differences in the scores of multiple time points(0.5h,2h and 6h)after the treatment between the treatment group and the control group have statistical significance. The treatment group’s VAS decrease more significant than the control group(P>0.05).④ There are statistical differences(P<0.05)in the two groups’ short-term andlong-term SAS compared with before the treatment. There are no statistical differences(P>0.05)in both the short-term and long-term SAS of the treatment group and the control group.⑤ The treatment group’ s overall short-term effective rate is 89.66%,and the control group’s is 78.57%.The differences have no statistical significance(P>0.05).The treatment group’s overall long-term effective rate is 82.76%,and the control group’s is 64.29%.The differences have statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusions:① Penetration acupuncture at the acupoint of ShaoYang Meridian and oral administration of the western medicine on MO are both proved to have positive efficacy. They have equivalent short-term overall efficacy, but the long-term efficacy of penetration acupuncture at the acupoint of ShaoYang Meridian is superior to that of oral administration of the western medicine;② Penetration acupuncture at the acupoint of ShaoYang Meridian can effectively reduce MO patients’ attacks, degree, duration and accompanying symptoms of headache. It is better than oral administration of the western medication in improving MO patients’ degree and duration of headache in the short term and improving MO patients’ attacks, degree and duration of headache in the long term;③ Penetration acupuncture at the acupoint of ShaoYang Meridian’s immediate analgesic efficacy is better than oral administration of the western medicine with its rapid onset and sound analgesic effect;④ Penetration acupuncture at the acupoint of ShaoYang Meridian can improve MOpatients’ health condition and quality of life, and is superior to oral administration of the western medicine in either the shot-term efficacy or the long-term efficacy;⑤ Penetration acupuncture at the acupoint of ShaoYang Meridian and oral administration of the western medicine can both improve MO patients’ mood in the short-term and long-term observations with equivalent efficacy;⑥ Penetration acupuncture at the acupoint of ShaoYang Meridian is easy to operate, highly effective, economical and safe without side effects thus worth spreading to MO patients and clinicians as a one common clinical treatment.
